My family and I stayed in cabin for one night. The cabins were old , but super clean and comfortable. The facilities in the room were great and the park itself was beautiful. The park was well maintained and tidy and clean with everything you could possibly need, The outlook was gorgeous and walks through the national park, right on the doorstep. highly recommend, and would happily stay again.

Delightful area. The resort is super close to the Cania Gorge Natl Park and all its main trails
Even in summer it was worth a visit, as we did walks in the morning followed by a swim in one of the resort pools. Nice!
The hosts also feed the birds seed around 4 pm. Actually the place is really special for bird life. So many and they look healthy

One of the best camping parks we have stayed in! Very tranquil and lovely place! It has very clean amenities, two pools, and a very well-equipped camp kitchen. It is the best place to start walks in the National Park and have a good quality relaxing time afterward. The owners are the nicest people, so welcoming and hospitable! Our car broke down and was towed to Monto and Adam was so kind to give us a lift to the town. We absolutely recommend this place!

A traditional style caravan park. Very neat. Ammenities spotless. Some great mid level walks for average walkers. Fantastic photography oppotunities. The reyreat is close to walking tracks. Big Foot is 50 metres away. Lots of birds, butterflies, hip hops and swamp wallabies. I was there mid Feb and very pleasant. I went stocked with mozzie coils but not needed. Park owners excellent. Two good sized swimmkng pools. Free WiFi hotspot. I was able to get a signal down the back of the park. Faily flat overall. Scattered trees. Large vans no issue. Sealed road in. Bird feeding event. A very nice gorge. Allow 1.5 days for walking plus more if you do the 11km each way walk. Lake 8? Km up the road with boat ramp.

We spent two lovely nights here camping. The park is close to all the walks and about 11km away from the Cania Dam. We had no regrets. There were ample toilets, showers and camp kitchen was good. Great to have pools too. Definitely recommended. I have already recommended it to friends.

Great campsite, nestled amongst the trees. Access to all but one walk through Cania Gorge NP which is a lovely park with amazing scenery, we all loved it, including our 6 and 8 yo. The facilities are great and the vibes around the campsite are awesome, there are even activities for the kids! Loved it, recommend 100%.

We stayed at Cania Gorge Tourist Retreat for a wonderful 8 nights in late Nov 2023 on a shady Powered Site. Booking & Check in was easy & the new owners Adam & Sarah were very professional & helpful. The park is very quiet, grounds & amenities very clean all within easy reach of the National Park & Monto. Highly Recommend if you are after a peaceful getaway, where you can relax or be as active as you like. Karen & Brad

We just wrapped up a 5 day stay here and what a wonderful park it was. Daily bird feeding was so much fun, old but very well maintained amenities ( good and hot after a day of hiking) two pools and lots of space in each site to spread out so you don't feel hemmed in. Staff were very friendly and the park is well maintained. More suited to older families as there isn't much for the littles here but if your kids are into making there own fun you'll love it. By far the quietest park I've ever stayed in and it's the closest to the walks (directly from the park). I would highly recommend staying here, we absolutely loved it.
Can't rate the rooms as we didn't use them but the people we spoke to seemed happy with them. Cania Dam is about a 10 min drive , bring Kayaks, boats or Jet ski, all are welcome on the dam, and the town of Monto, about 15 mins has a lovely Silo Art Trail Silo, and in town you'll find more murals also. Town is well equipped with all you could need while you're there.

Beautiful, quiet park. Birdlife is amazing. Friendly kingparrots visit you at your site. Staff put on bird feeding which is a great activity for young and old. Amazing art cover the walls of the cabins. Amenities are clean. Conveniently close to majority of walks in the gorge.

We stayed in a cabin for 2 nights while our friends stayed in a motorhome. We absolutely loved it! We had a great time, so peaceful and relaxing.
The park is very tidy and well maintained. Even though we stayed in a cabin we did use the camp kitchen which was terrific. Very clean with ample utensils and good quality BBQ's plus microwave, oven, fridge if you require. Although we didn't use the shower facilities, our friends did and reported them being very clean with ample toilets and space.
The owners/caretakers of the retreat are absolutely wonderful! So friendly and made us feel very welcome. It made our experience extra special being able to interact so easily and they also have great knowledge of the area so be sure to check in with them about any walks you're interested in. Their dog Maya is extra special too.
We were pleasantly surprised to find a movie night being put on, our first night there. Completely unexpected to be sitting in the bush watching the latest new movie release, a great bonus 👌
What we loved the most though was the bird wildlife. Being able to interact with these beauties so closely was a lovely experience and made our weekend.
The only thing I would add is to be able to bring our furbaby to stay with us in the cabins, they are welcome at the park if you are camping. We would not hesitate to stay here again and I am sure we will be recommending to our other friends to do the same. Thanks for a great stay in a beautiful area of Queensland.

As we had a rental car we booked a cabin. The cabins are now quite old but clean and well appointed. Highlight is the bird feeding and campfire in front of cabin. Canoeing on Lake Cania is a must and all the walks are fantastic.Highly recommend this location.

Friendly owners who have a good knowledge of the area. Bird feeding at 4pm in the afternoon and 2 large swimming pools. The owners even set up the large inflatable screen to watch the NRL final. Will stay again.
