Albert Hotel Monto

One of the best Eye Fillets I’ve had in a long time, glad I come back a street to check it out. Great staff and friendly service.
The Rib on the Bone is absolutely worth checking out as well.

Absolutely fantastic Pub. A large group of us stayed Saturday Night and can’t recommend the Albert Hotel more. The best service, accommodation and food we have had at a country pub in years but don’t take our word for it just get out there and see for yourself. The staff are absolutely fantastic and a special thanks to Laura. Will definitely be back. Cheers

Stopped in on the bikes for lunch on way from Mackay to Mt Perry.
Meals are great, reasonably priced. Beers are cold.
Old school Aussie pub dining area with a large undercover outside area also.
Worth dropping off the highway for a feed or a drink on your way thru Monto.

Great food and amazing service! Couldn't believe how lucky we were to stumble upon this gem! Every9ne was so friendly and the food was hot and tasty and came out quickly!

The food, service and people are wonderful here. The outdoor area is bit like indoor, very nice and spacious. Dog friendly too. Events and music held here at times, great place to hire for gatherings. Indoor dining too, and a public bar. Historic building. Kids play area included.

Visited Monto for the Silk Rags Project play. Had dinner & lunch over the weekend. The service was great & the meals were of a high standard with plenty of variety. Recommended.

Stayed a few nights while working and had a wonderful stay. The rooms are very comfortable, clean and with all amenities you would need! Shared bathrooms are clean and work well.
The kitchen downstairs really does seem to understand how to cook meats to perfection! Amazing gravy as well.
Friendly staff, great atmosphere.
The floor boards around the stairs are quite loud though, we tried our best to not make noise as we left early in the morning but they made it very difficult.
Over all a wonderful hotel to stay at!! Definitely recommend.

We stayed at the RV spot near the information centre and received coupons to have a free drink with any paid meal (beer, wine or soft drink) at this hotel.
The food and service was excellent! What a lovely place to stop. Will definitely be back for more as they have a dog friendly beer garden.

We stayed and had dinner mid week. Would definitely recommend.

Staff were friendly and welcoming. The rooms had a comfy bed that opened up to the wide veranda. The showers were hot and good pressure.

We had the rib on the bone and calamari, both were delicious. We ate in the beer garden which was lovely.

Make sure you take a walk around town and check out the murals.

What a great hotel in a great town. Rooms classic old pub style opening up onto the verandah, comfy bed, very clean. Room 9 close to the shared ‘amenities’. Fantastic meals, steak was excellent. Shout out to Meg and Riley who are the friendliest and most helpful staff. The town has a welcoming vibe, everyone is friendly and happy.

Stopped at the Albert because I was too tired to continue driving on my trip north, rang ahead and got a room there.

The tomahawk steak was absolutely amazing, not only was the steak huge, but it was also perfectly cooked, in fact it's the best steak I've ever had.

Looking around the restaurant there wasn't a bad option on the menu though so I don't think it mattered what you decided to eat.

Rooms are a good size, beds are comfy and their towels alone are worth the stay.

The two guys and the girl working behind the bar that night were really friendly and happy to share the history of the town and have a yarn, and quite frankly I can't wait to go back.

Great value meals, friendly staff

Really enjoyed our stay, it met our needs beautifully. Accommodation was clean and comfortable, great kitchen facilities with continental breakfast, and staff and dinner were awesome. Took a little bit to find without maps on, but well worth the interesting drive around the town!
Would thoroughly recommend for an authentic Aussie experience 🤠

Stopped in Monto and wanted to get lunch, happened to pop in to Albert Hotel. Was happy to find food, the whole town was quiet on weekend and realized that everyone is at the bar counter and inside Albert Hotel having their lunch. Great food, nice atmosphere and having outdoor seating to enjoy the food. Great service too! 👍👍

Came for a Counter lunch and a beer and discovered an original Gil Jamieson painting on the wall in the main bar. As I devoured my delicious Neapolitan Chicken Parmy and veg and my partner munched on her fabulous Steak sandwich I reflected on meeting Gill over 30 years ago at his home studio nearby. I raised a glass to Gill and his fabulous body of work.

We had 3 evening meals there over an extremely busy long weekend. They did an amazing job and the food and service was really great. Highly recommend this pub in the great town of Monto.

Great dog friendly beer garden out back to relax and enjoy a quiet drink. We didn't stay for a meal so can't comment on the menu.

The Albert Hotel at Monto is the BEST pub I've been to in a long time. It's run by the friendliest Publican and his staff. The best food. You have to try the beef cheeks. Cooked by a Chef.
This place also made lunches that were continually satisfying every day for over a week.
I can't say enough about this place. I will definitely be going back.

Best accommodation I've ever stayed in! The rooms were flawlessly clean. I love that the heritage is embraced and not modernised as it would ruin the genuine country pub feel. The smell of the antique furniture and floorboards along with the most amazing air diffuser in the room will stay with me for a long time to come. Have recommended this hotel to every one I know!
