this place is amazing!!!! food 100% SERVICE 110% ( can i say that) Brad is superior. shame he is off to his new life on the coast. I'm sure he will be missed! All staff here a re amazing
Edit: went in again. This time for breakfast. Sadly this was disappointing. the fritters were tasteless and dry. grilled tomatoes stone cold. obviously a different chef

Definitely worth visiting while on the Hunter. Their range of beers are tasty and will water down that thirst. The Nitro stout and the alcoholic ginger beer are excellent. The nitro is unfortunately not bottled or canned so can only be drunk at the site so definitely give it a go if you are partial to a porter or stout. It is rich and creamy with chocolate and coffee notes. It is one of the best stouts I've had, up there with a Mornington.

The staff are friendly as well, so definitely pop in for a visit.

11 craft beers plus a craft apple cider all on tap, nice coffee (needed after tasting so many wines nearby) and delicious pub style food. It's the perfect spot to have lunch between cellar door stops. The dirty granny cider is perfect on a hot summers day.

Delicious food (try the chocolate and stout cake) and great variety of beer. Excellent staff. 3 course special very filling. Top shelf! Sorry, haven't got the hang of food photography yet!🤣🤣🤣

This is my workplace. 😁 But It's a gorgeous brewery with quality craft brews as well as your regular/common on-tap beers. There's a little gift shop here too.l! Cooking classes available on request ☺

The Matilda Bay Brewhouse is so nice to visit...the beer paddle offered an array of beers with different flavours for the palate to enjoy...they also do some delicious cocktails for the non beer drinkers

Great selection of in-house beers, friendly staff and beautiful location. Definately worth a visit when in the Hunter Valley. I've been there many times and I'm always coming back.

I would most definitely recommend it my hubby n I enjoyed the up beat vibe and the beer was cold and the variety was awesome because you can get a paddle with a selection so your visit should be here for a cold one with a group or couple they have wine too and the food looked n smelled yummi

Quite puzzled by the lower star reviews, especially on the food and service, because our experience was incredible! We drove from Sydney Friday night to Hunter Valley and made a late night booking to be welcome to warmly and made to feel at home by Luke, Maddie and Lucas who came to check in on us throughout the night. To be honest, the food was absolutely incredible. We ordered the butter fried chicken and roasted tomato for entrees and we’re NOT disappointed whatsoever - just amazing!! Thank you so much Dyl!! I order the potato gnocchi which was SO delicious but my boyfriend order the beef cheek (meets in your mouth!) which was even more incredible - I was a bit jealous! I’ll be getting that tomorrow night for sure! Even ended up ordering an extra bottle of wine and dessert with check ins by fantastic service by staff!! We’re definitely back for more this weekend!!!

A terrific experience, staff are amazing and made us feel welcome and nothing was an inconvenience. The food was very good quality, do yourself a favour...the Beef Cheeks are delicious. The menu is excellent value for money, two courses $55, three courses $67

My husband and I were in the Hunter Valley for our honeymoon and we stumbled across this place.

We decided to come for dinner as we came the day before for a snack and really enjoyed it.

Dinner was AMAAAAAZING 😍 we thought we were just going for pub food but it turned out the menu on Sunday’s is different. This was a great surprise because we ended up having a 2 course dinner. The restaurant has a lovely fireplace making it feel homey and inviting. The food quality was that of fine dining and the customer service by Kyle & Lucas was super friendly, really helpful and they even explain our paddle of beer for tasting.

We loved this place so much that the next time we come to the Hunter Valley we’ll actually at the resort.

Great dog-friendly Brewery in an excellent location. We sat outside with our pup in a shaded area and had a few beer flights and pizzas.

Staff are polite and friendly. Food is great and there is plenty of space, inside and out. Even though it was a warm day, it was breezy and comfortable. Would definitely go again.

Staff were courteous. Brad especially was very helpful and knowledgeable with food recommendation. Their fresh house tea smoked salmon was divine so was my husband’s black Angus Rump, the maple Jus sauce was delightful! No regrets in choosing to dine here eventually amongst others in the area. Price very r adorable too with quality food.
