Pokolbin Village Estate

We had 4 nights in a large 2 bedroom cottage and it was superb. Private and peacefully located on the estate, with the pool to ourselves most of the time and kangaroos grazing outside our door. The brand new kitchen had up-to-date appliances, new cooking utensils, crockery and cutlery. The cottage was very clean, the beds were comfy and had an abundance of pillows. We had the best holiday.

Location is perfect for walking to various wineries, the HV Gardens and restaurants. The village was quiet and had plenty of amenities on site. The coffee shop and convenience store are great and the room we stayed in was clean and lovely.
I would recommend staying here whether its just a room for a couple or cabin for families.

Truly lovely stay ,room was exceptional and self contained.we were in the hunter valley to see the lights as a family and found pokolbin village which was reasonably priced compared to the ridiculous prices for places around. Both areas of family were put in villas next to each other which worked perfectly for everyone, staff were very knowledgeable and helpful. Great location and area, the pool was awesome for kids. Will definitely be coming back soon :).

We stayed in ‘The Retreat’ homestead and this is the perfect place to accommodate 15 people very comfortably! The house is spacious and plenty of bathrooms for all guests. Just like staying at your own home with added extras like full size billiard table and gaming machine- kept everyone entertained. Location is excellent- you can walk to nearby restaurants and bars and coffee shops on site. It’s about. 10 minute taxi ride to wineries. Would love to stay here again if we were to visit the Hunter again. Highly recommend for larger family groups or friends catching up. A bonus to watch the kangaroos at your door step each day!

I have stayed at Pokolbin Village in the cabins several times now over the last seven years and have loved my stays every time. The location is close to everything you would want in the hunter. The rooms are always clean and super comfortable, and the actual property is a perfect blend of peace and nature. Waking up to kangaroos in the morning is just spectacular. Staff are super helpful and always lovely. Would not hesitate to recommend. Definitely my favourite hunter valley accomodation!!!

A beautiful little cabin that accommodated our small group comfortably. Very quiet location with views across to where the hot air balloons were departing. Kangaroos everywhere and lots of bird life! We'd definitely stay again!

Although on main road into Pokolbin rooms are far enough away to not be disturbed. Great location close to many wineries and restaurants and shops. Rooms clean with air con and was great to have a swim in the pool after a morning of markets, wine tasting and shopping before heading out for dinner.

Highly recommend Pokolbin Village Estate. We booked it for an event at Hope Estate which is conveniently right across the road/walking distance. Our accommodation was really clean and the beds were very comfortable.
Really friendly staff assisted us too. Good location for all other Hunter Valley amenities.

We were pleasantly surprised as to how lovely our room was! Spacious, and all the essential amenities you need especially when getting ready for a Hunter wedding (ironing board, full length mirror etc). Fantastic value for money, perfect location and great little cafes and shops right on your doorstep. We will definitely be back and highly recommend for those wanting a getaway at a great price point!

Clean, spacious rooms.
Its a shame there is nowhere to have breakfast on-site and parking is not in front/close to the room but otherwise its a beautiful location.
Close drive to lots of great venues.
The couch was super comfortable! Bed was good for the price of the room.

Upon arrival, we had been surprised to have our room upgraded with no charge to a beautiful two bedroom room with a porch and access to the pool. The building is a hidden gem and we couldn't recommend it more!

Return customers- fantastic place to stay! We spent 3 nights there & had a great time. We’ve stayed in all of their accommodation types, except the Villas. This time, we chose the 4 bedroom cottage (more like a house.) It was very clean, quiet (good for others as we are loud people!). The king sized beds were amazing, full kitchen, dining & lounge and bbq dinner on the deck was lovely. Air conditioned throughout, which made it very comfortable. The staff are wonderful - the service is top class. Great place for everyone (saw some little ones riding their bikes, having a ball!)
The boardwalk near reception is great, offering all the basics and special treats, like the chocolate shop, Specialty Cheeses and a bottle shop. A bit disappointed that our usual breakfast cafe was closed during this visit. We’ve already looked into booking our next trip xo

We hired 4 houses for our big family Xmas. All the rooms were set up as we had requested. A great way to spend time with a group while still having space.

We stayed at Polkobin village on the 4th and 5th of October the accommodation was clean and comfortable. It’s excellent value for mine and is central and easy to access the many local wineries. If you are looking for an inexpensive place to stay in the Hunter Valley the village is a great choice.

Fabulous location, service and communication. Stayed in a Deluxe King Room and was very clean and comfortable. Added bonus is the village shops have everything you need during your stay.

A long overdue wedding was made even more special by staying in room 204. Friendly, clean, spacious, generous stay.

Wow, great location, price and appointments. We will definitely stay there again. The comfort of the beds and furniture was excellent.

Staff were excellent I had to change my reservations a few times due to operations and the staff were excellent about it each time. Nice place very central to everything will stay here again.
