Easily the best highlight of our Hunter Valley trip! Frank and his team are truly amazing at what they do. Harrison was an amazing host as well! We had such a beautiful dining experience here and can highly recommend for any who loves good food.

Atmosphere here was wonderful and sitting at the Chef’s table, you can to watch everything happen.

Bookings are highly recommended as they do get busy! Easily the best fine dining in Hunter Valley!

This really was an experience we will think about for a long time. Every course was phenomenal and it was definitely worth every dollar. We even got a great recommendation on where to get our next dinner. Big thank you to the whole team!

The boyfriend surprised me with dinner at EXP. Restaurant, and we had the "Chef's EXP.erience" with 9 courses! It was incredible and every dish was presented to us like art - meticulously plated. It was great to be seated at the chef table, as we could see the kitchen in action. The chefs also took time to describe and explain every single dish that was served, and we were even surprised with chocolates at the end of the meal as it was an anniversary dinner 😌. This was "worth the splurge" and big thank you to the team, for making our nights - and bellies full.

This may be the best food I’ve ever eaten. Every dish was like art. It was the most expensive meal I’ve had but totally worth the splurge. Our server created a wonderful experience in every way. Her suggestions in wine were fabulous. We met the Chef, the Pastry Chef and Harry the manager was so engaging. Delicious & very memorable night. Definitely go here if you want an extraordinary incredible experience.

Equisitte taste meets surgical grade presentation at EXP. The team do an excellent job of taking the senses on an amazing journey. The vast array of flavours, smells, textures and sights is well worth the visit to this amazing resteraunt. These guys have done an excellent job of providing an exceptional experience.

My lunch at @exprestaurant is up there as one of my favourite dining experiences. Firstly, the food was sensational - a tasting menu full of flavour with delicious, imaginative and beautiful dishes. The service was fantastic. Chef @joshua_hannan and his team provided a fabulous experience at the chef's bar from start to finish. It's the perfect spot to see all the work in the kitchen - a front row seat to the plating up with some fun extras thrown in along the way.

The cheapest fine dining so far - kind of wish the portion can be bigger (even if at a slightly higher price)
Food is great - the duck is amazing, crispy skin and the duck meat is one of the best I had so far - except it only come in one slice (as the main). The bread and the tuna are nice too- can always order extra bread if you are not full.
Recommend the apple cider for people who can’t handle alcohol very well, it’s not too sweet.
The bathroom is somehow tricky and I locked myself inside, thanks to the waitress who saved me.

An amazing dining experience! we sat at the chefs bar and watched all the incredible detail that went into each dish. Lovely atmosphere and the team were so knowledgeable and attentive. Would highly recommend that you put EXP at the top of your list when visiting the Hunter Valley.

It was my wife and I’s first wedding anniversary weekend I researched plenty of reviews on various platforms. Pardon the pun, but it was an incredible experience that we won’t forget. Be sure to book early and book the ‘chefs table’.. You have a first hand view of the chefs at work. The incredible detail (using tweezers at times) was amazing. We also loved the genuine care the head chef showed when explaining the food he presented to us. We could tell he cared what we had to say and that was utterly refreshing. The food was unique and the best fine dining experience I have ever had. My wife and I will never forget. All staff, my wife and I thank you for providing such a positive and memorable dinner for our special day!

It's always a pleasurable EXP.erience dining here! They cater to our gluten free dietary needs and were able to cook things more thoroughly to be suitable in pregnancy 😊

I can honestly say I have not had a better meal or service in my life. Highly recommend EXP while in the Hunter Valley thank you. A beautiful way to spend our anniversary.

Whenever I travel, I spend a lot of time researching restaurants. Hunter Valley is well known for having great restaurants. I selected two, and both were Great!!!! Without doubt, this restaurant deserves every possible accolade. Wow! This is a fantastic restaurant. Every course in the price fixed menu was delicious and amazingly complex. I am a pretty good home cook, but in no way can I make food like this.

The place is small and intimate. We sat at the bar, and it was marvelous to watch them cook and prep plates. Honestly, this place is wonderful. They were happy to answer our questions...we learned all about finger limes...we had never heard of them before. I would go up to Hunter Valley just to eat here!!

An amazing experience. The food is outstanding - every single bite is well thought out but not over done. Service matches - it was perfect and everyone we interacted with was an absolute credit to exp. Atmosphere is perfect & really adds to the experience. Highly recommend & can’t wait to come back.

The Chef's tasting menu is special in all respects, but the scallops, duck and all of the sweets stood out for me.
Fine dining prices, but I found them reasonable.

This was my third time revisiting this restaurant, but each and every time has been phenomenal and I'm always excited to come back! The ever changing menu is stunning, the mix and match of flavours all just work so well, and the presentation - absolutely beautiful. The service was impeccable, the attention to detail was on point and the relaxed ambience with muted lights and dark tones of the restaurant decor meshed well to make it feel special, and for us, it was a wonderfully romantic dinner date. I must also mention, they accommodated for lactose free dishes which, I was told, were equally delicious. Looking forward to dining here again.

What memorable food experience! Great use of Australian native ingredients from berry peppers to finger limes to eucalyptus. Would definitely come back when in the region! Attentive services. Thank you Chef and the Team!

First time and what a culinary surprise! Not a large place which allows the staff to provide that personal service. The chef had chats with the patrons, a nice touch. We’ll be back.

Very good experience in this fine dinner restaurant! Their waiter are professional to introduce every dinner wine pairing 🍷 , it make our family have the good impression for Hunter valley even this time we have been canceling Hot Balloon program during the weather reason. 🍾👍😘

Beautiful experience i had. One of the best restaurants I’ve ever had in my life for sure. We visited to celebrate our honeymoon and last dinner in Aus. Most of the staffs were very friendly and made us feel welcome even though it was late dinner. They were trying their best to accomodate me. Especially big thanks to Eric ! Good ambience and service.
Every dish had own story and inspired us so bad. Will recommend to my friends in Korea who visit hunter valley. All the best🇦🇺
