Hands down the BEST fish and chips in Armidale. Our crumbed calamari was crispy, succulent and juicy; the battered fish was fresh, hot, crispy and succulent; and the chips were golden, crisp, hot and salty.
It would be great if half serves of chips were available as a tick box option in the meals category. We find a full serve is far too much and sadly they end up in the compost.
Lunch hour service was fast and the staff friendly! Thank you Pearl and team.

This classic fish n chip/hamburger shop was recommended to us by a local and it did not disappoint! The food was hot, tasty, great portions, great prices and the staff were really friendly both times we visited. We have longed for a good old fashioned hamburger and fish meal and Pearl Perch was yum! We plan on coming back again and again when we are in the area. As an extra bonus the shop is beautifully clean and has lots of room to dine in, otherwise you could do what we did and eat it under the trees at the park across the street.

Fantastic service. We made a big order for pickup, and (understandably) one of the items was left out of the bag and we didn't realise until home. I called Pearl Perch and they were extremely apologetic, and cooked the other piece of fish immediately and delivered it out to us ASAP, again apologising too much for a completely excusable error! Their service is excellent and the food was really really yummy. Thanks guys!

If you travelling through Armidale and you need something great to eat stop in this great Cafe. One of the best Hamburgs I have had in a long time 10 out 10.

a call beforehand would be great to get your hot tasty chips, For newcomers must visit here, cheaper chips and tastier than the bug/big brands.

Pearl perch is in my opinion thr best fish and chip place in town, I've never had food over or undercooked the portions are always generous and they make good substitutions if they run out of anything.
If you need a picture of how popular they are on big business days they've run out of chips hours before closing.

The service is great and the food is amazing, as well as being located right in town where it's convenient. The food is great and you actually get what you paid for. The scallops are great as well. I'd recommend pearl perch for anyone in Armidale or new to Armidale, they're awesome

I have always had great food here but what I love is how lovely everyone and they all act so happy it’s just so lovely to see! Keep up the great work!

Pearl perch have some really great chips and are cheap for how much you get.
On occasion, they even give you more scallops then you order. I also believe they have eftpos now, so you don't need to go to the plaza to get money out of the ATM.

Beautiful battered fish n chips, great amount of chips but couldn't eat them all, I brought medium size lot of chips n had 4 for lunch. 😊
