We booked this room as a treat at the end of a long road trip. It did not disappoint. The room was spacious and the bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was also spacious and sparkling clean. We had a meal in the restaurant which was exceptional. The included breakfast was also splendid.

We have recently had a family reunion at Petersons. What a fabulous venue. Great food. We had dinner two nights in their restaurant. The wine is good and very reasonable. Breakfast was great. A wonderful venue for get togethers. Lovely grounds and really special for reunions etc. we enjoyed an Armidale tour and then went onto to tour the Saumarez House. Enjoyed the history of the region.

I don't really think it gets much better than this. The food, wine, rooms, oh my god, the people are all just beautiful. The old-worldy feel is what we loved the most, it was so romantic you really feel swept away with charm.

We were so in love with it I may have to enquire about having our wedding here. I have not a single negative thing to say. What a wonderful place to be. Thank you all.

We stay here a couple times a year and it never disappoints. Although this time we were unable to wine tesr by fire yet able to buy wine (which we wouldve done more if we tasted more varieties). Breakfast is good, great coffee. Dinner was lovely. New chef but food was good. Rooms are lovely old world and warm with comfy beds and electric blankets.
We love staying up there and will definitely be back.

Just had a fabulous weekend at this Guesthouse. It was my 70th birthday so we booked it out for family & friends. The staff were fantastic & looked after me very well. We ate in on Saturday night & the food was great as was the wines. The roaring fires helped keep away the cold. Well done Petersens & thankyou for a memorable birthday

Petersons Guesthouse and Winery was the most incredible venue and all the staff went above and beyond to make our wedding day so magical. They were very easy to communicate with and were always more than happy to accomodate our wishes where able to. The countless emails and phone calls from us were never an issue and they always responded in a prompt manner.

The venue was absolutely gorgeous and we have had so many guests comment on this. We got some amazing photos taking advantage of all the grounds and settings on offer. The food was exquisite and this is another thing that many of our guests have since commented on. They put their reputation as a winery on full display with the fine choice of wines they provided us with.

Afterwards the staff at Petersons collected up all our decorations etc in the marquee and had them all ready for us to pick up the following morning. This is another example of how they made the whole experience a breeze!

Petersons helped turned what can be a stressful experience, planning a wedding, into an enjoyable and very special journey. We are eternally grateful and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a wedding venue in this area. We cannot wait to return here every year for our anniversary!

Such a peaceful setting, impeccably maintained gardens. Accommodation is A1 and our meal was delicious, an imaginative menu with choices to please all palates. Peterson's wine were most acceptable to pair with the food. A very pleasant experience.

Booked one night stay directly from their website. We chose the romantic suite, which although seems to have a bit of history (has a bit of the old place smell), was spacious and well maintained. The bathroom was massive with a bath tub and separate shower - it is clear glass so we nearly ran into it a few times! The king size bed was quite comfortable albeit a bit hot while sleeping (there was a heat mat on top of the mattress which trapped our body heat), and the TV was quite small. Nevertheless, we enjoyed the room and appreciated the full service breakfast and complimentary bottle of wine which was inclusive in the room rate. The guesthouse is just 10 mins drive from the city centre, so not too inconvenient to go out for sightseeing and food. Overall a lovely stay and great value for money!

After a long day’s drive it was fantastic to be welcomed into Petersens grand central room, replete with welcoming fires and comfy chairs. We hadn’t had lunch and asked for something - not a problem. Soon we were sitting fireside, red wine in hand enjoying an excellent cheese platter. We decided we’d like to upgrade to a spa room, but alas (for us) Petersens was fully booked (this was a Wednesday). No worries, a lie in the comfy bed (the room had been preheated for us), a bath - and
Lovely underfloor heating! - and then dinner at 7. Another fireplace, a pleasant meal and only a few steps to our bed and electric blankets. Breakfast was in the delightful sunroom. The staff were all so friendly and accomodating, the little extras welcome, and a great way to spend a night enroute to our destination. Highly recommend. And pricing very reasonable too.
