Gladstone Park

This park is adjacent to Balmain Public School, Bowling Club and the Balmain Hospital. lts great for kids, families and anyone wanting to just chill in the park and read a book

I love this park and will remember it well, however the bathrooms are pathetic but I don’t go to the bathrooms there, I would usually run home to go to the toilet and catch a trolley bill back, there also used to be a rocket yard up around the corner, and land mines back in the 60s but who cares about that anymore, the big bill tower was also knocked down which was filled up with water, causing the abandoned mine underneath to nearly collapse, hence they had filled it up, as the nearby buildings would fall down. The dogs are annoying as they dig deep holes that I always fall down.

Had our Christmas (bowling) party here. Friendly staff, great kitchen, bar and facilities including shade and seating areas. Great spot for a function, we had one disabled staff member and he was able to move around the premises with no issues. Highly recommend this place!

Epic park after they are letting us build a swimming pool here in ~50 years. There is also a good drainage system which is approved!!!

Amazing park, lots of room/space to do activities, especially after they got rid of that old deep hole which was used for a place to get the workers down in to the mine which they were covering up since some of the surrounding area started collapsing underground.

This is an unfailingly uplifting, cheery, urban mini oasis.
How many times during two years of lockdown, did I stand or sit in this park ( depending on the rules at the time!).... munching on a glorious Bourke St Bakery pie (sold adjacent to the park) and sipping on a good coffee in a paper cup thinking ..."Life is OK ! It's gonna be allright."
And it was!

This park is great you can walk your dog and strole around plenty of seats or very grassy spots to sit .plenty of things for young kids to do,i had to visit quite a few days to the hospital and it was lovely being able to take someone out for awhile so handy and well kept

Great park to take a break in, plenty of space and enjoy watching folks bowling or walking dogs. Handy to shopping strip. Burke St Bakery across the street for snacks.

Beautiful flowers lovely gardening

Just right at the Balmain shops. Peaceful and green. Had a coffee and pastry from Bourke St Bakery. Winter sun giving me strength. Come and relax.

Great for families. Kids will love the park. Lots to enjoy. Cafes in vicinity as well as toilets in park area.

Great location for a nice drink with mates. Or if lawn bowls tickles your fancy this place will definitely cater to the needs.

A very nice park in the heart of Balmain lots of cafe/ restaurants/shops very convenient transport to cut by bus or ferry

Top of the hill, close to coffee and grass to sit on. Awesome

Nice little park in Balmain with some beautiful trees and a decent playground for the kids.

Hidden gem...nice morning sun and Bourke st bakery across the road...dog friendly too.

Caught up with family..had lunch and some drinks....great food and service
