The previous review was a Google and operator perfect storm so to speak. This business was brilliant the location was fantastic. The owner operators went out of their way to help us in particular with my wife's food sensitivities. The restaurant experience was terrific, did not expect live music in the off season. The facilities were kept very clean and tidy. It's an old park being revamped by people passionate about their locality and the environment they live in Power on Bruno and Tamara we look forward to a return visit after cyclone Jasper does its thing. Merry Xmas and a successful new year.

My kids and I enjoyed two beautiful nights here. The room was clean and very comfortable, fully air-conditioned too. The owner was very helpful in providing extra supplies when needed and information about all the places we could explore during our stay. We really enjoyed the private walking trails, the large lending library of board games, positive, kind and respectful attitude from the owners and staff and the food was amazing. Absolutely loved the live music that accompanied our lovely dinner on Wednesday night too. It was fantastic to be in the beautiful rainforest while also being close to other tourist attractions. It was quiet enough to truly enjoy the sounds of the local wildlife which my kids especially enjoyed. We will definitely be coming back here to stay next holidays. Thank you Tamara and team, you did a wonderful job and we can't wait to come back again.

## Daintree Siesta: A Tropical Dream, Embraced by Passion and Warmth

Words cannot fully express the magic I encountered at Daintree Siesta. It wasn't just a stay, it was an immersion into the soul of the rainforest, guided by the most passionate and welcoming hosts imaginable.

Bruno and Tamara are more than owners; they're the heart and spirit of Daintree Siesta. Their dedication to creating a haven for both travelers and the environment is evident in every detail. I had the joy of experiencing both the charming cabins and the peaceful campground, and each brought its own unique enchantment. The cabins were cozy and comfortable, enveloped in the rainforest's embrace, while the campsite offered a raw, starlit connection to nature.

But Daintree Siesta wouldn't be the same without Viki. Her warmth and friendliness radiated brighter than the Queensland sun. Her helpfulness and local knowledge made every excursion effortless, and her genuine enthusiasm for the rainforest was infectious. I know her absence will be felt by many, but I wish her nothing but joy and success in her new chapter.

Whether you're seeking adventure or relaxation, Daintree Siesta caters to every desire. Hike through ancient rainforests, swim in crystal-clear rivers, or simply soak in the serenity from your cabin porch. Every step is an encounter with breathtaking beauty, enhanced by the genuine care and enthusiasm of the team.

So, if you're searching for an experience that transcends the ordinary, a place where nature's symphony blends with human warmth, book your stay at Daintree Siesta. Bruno, Tamara, and Viki (though her absence will be felt) will welcome you with open arms and hearts, ensuring your rainforest adventure is etched in your memories forever.

**5 stars, but truly, Daintree Siesta deserves a constellation of them!**

An amazing stay! the grounds are so beautiful, it’s so nice sleeping right in the rainforest! The facilities were excellent, clean and had everything we needed. The owners were so lovely and helpful in giving us tips about things to do in the area, we had a nice time chatting to them and other locals around the firepit at the end of the day. It’s dog friendly and a great location to access everything along the Daintree / Cape Trib. Would definitely come back here again, thanks Siesta! :)

It was wonderful to be able to stay with my dog in such a beautiful location. The rainforest walks on the property are as good, if not better, than the national park boardwalks. The powered sites were large and well spaced out.

Spent 7 nights here and couldn't have had a better time. Right in a World Heritage rainforest. Great place to unwind, take it all in and immerse yourself in a very special place.

The fact Bruno and Tamara are fantastic hosts is a bonus. Cant be beaten :)

Had a lovely time in the rainforest. The location is amazing, the in house walks were great (be on the Lookout for cassowaries) and we got the warmest of welcomes. Thanks so much!

What a great experience we had! Very good service, easy checkin, clean facilities and a very nice camp kitchen designed with love. The campground is located in the middle of the forest - no phone access here! It's a good opportunity to enjoy some remote calmness that comes from the forest. Would definitely come back any time. Thank you for the great stay!

Wonderful place to stay at a great price.
(We stayed at Xmas time)
The food was lovely and the owners were very accomodating - helped us immensely with places where to take the kids fishing 😃

Its sad to read previous negative reviews, as
The Daintree is not for the faint hearted - It is an isolated place with limited luxuries. The owners of this place do everything possible to make everyone comfortable, however I guess you can’t make everyone happy… some were clearly just raised with golden spoons!

Thank you from our family 🙏

A lovely place to stay full of rustic charm. A little showing of age but very clean and comfortable. The owners a genuinely lovely, easy going people and made us feel very welcome. Bruno was flexible in changing out booking from camping site to cabin and went above and beyond to help us continue our holiday after a slight caravan issue. Dinner was great, best chips we have eaten in a long time. Will definitely be back!

A beautiful part of the world in our own backyard. Overall a great location to visit all of the scenery north of the river. Large cabins and selection of food from the restaurant. The barramundi was very popular amongst the visitors and guests.

Lovely campsite in the rainforest! Tamara was an absolute sweetheart and made us feel very welcome. We stayed for two nights as it was quiet and relaxing. Some bugs but you’ll get that everywhere. Facilities were decent, nothing special but at $30 for an unpowered site it’s the cheapest in the area. Had dinner at the restaurant one night, my schnitzel was delicious, however, my girlfriends fritters could have been a lot better. Overall very happy and would stay again.

The owners gave us a free room upgrade, which was really kind of them. They were really helpful with suggestions on places to see. We had dinner there both nights and the food was delicious. There is no wifi but you're in a rainforest, who needs it! A lovely place to take a break from the outside world.

This place was paradise. We found it to be a rare opportunity to enjoy a very real and unadulterated version of staying in the Daintree. The place is rustic and unpretentious, but I have to admit that we were also grateful for the delicious meals.

They even had the rare appearance of a wild cassowary, which was topped off by seeing a cool python.

The place is beautiful. The owner/operators are a really friendly family. We loved our stay and can't recommend it highly enough.

This campsite is amazing! You are sleeping completely within the rainforest and is so magical. The staff were all so nice. They also have live music on Saturdays and we sat by the fire-pit in the evening with a drink. Great kitchen, clean toilets. Not much else you can ask for.
Great campsite 100% recommend.

We stayed here for one night and it was fantastic! The owner was very kind and showed us the crocodiles and all the other rescue animals free of charge. He thought us so much about Australian wildlife, it was so lovely to hear his passion for the rescue animals. All facilities were nice and clean and it was a super wholesome experience. Would highly recommend spending a night at Lync haven and support the family business.

This is the one of the best campsites I have ever stayed in!

We were greeted with kind gestures and friendly staff that allowed us to camp and pay the following day as it is cash only and it was 8pm at night (other campsites had turned us away)

The campsite itself is run on solar panels so environmentally friendly and the lay out was perfect.

We were also allowed move a fire pit to the area where our 4 vehicles were parked, out of kind gesture which we returned back to it's original area the following morning.

They had all necessary facilities (BBQ Area, toilets, showers, & drinking water) the facilities were good and well kept!

We stayed here for 2 night's and it was the most inexpensive and friendliest campsite around.

Before leaving on our final day we got to feed the Wallabies on site and got speaking to Justin after spotting a snake! Justin went above and beyond to share information with us and show us the protected animals on site. It was one of my favourite experiences on the trip so far.

I couldn't recommend this campsite enough!!

100/10 - love!

Thank you Justin and all the other friendly staff at Lync Haven! It was amazing :)

Camped here with a big group a few weeks ago. Staff were super accomodating in all aspects, especially when we arrived later than expected! We returned there the next day, after only intended to stay one night, because the facilities and staff were so great. We got chatting to Justin who told us about feeding the wallabies in the morning which we did, and then he showed us around the site and all the animal rehabilitation work he and the team did. We loved our stay here and have already recommended it to friends!

We stayed at this place in April this year. We were at the Daintree rainforest for a day trip and were supposed to take the 4pm ferry back. But due to heavy rainfall, the ferry broke down and we got stuck at Daintree with an infant and our parents. It was quite stressful as we didn’t have extra food, change clothes, baby food, medicines and were without accommodation. We went to Lync Haven to see if we could find some accommodation. The hosts were very welcoming, accommodating and friendly. We told them about our situation and they really comforted us and even gave us some extra milk for the baby. They offered us a larger room so we could all fit in the same unit so that if more people were in need for urgent accomodation due to ferry issues, they could accommodate them too. Knowing that we and a few other families who got to the retreat, were stuck at Daintree with limited resources, they specially opened their restaurant for breakfast service so that we all did not have to struggle finding a place for breakfast; they normally only open for lunch and dinner. They also made sure they fed everyone that night and had the kitchen open for longer. Since no one knew when the ferry would start running again, they also let us extend the stay 1 day at a time. Eventually we only needed to stay for 2 nights since the ferry got repaired on time. The hosts are really honest as on the second day they charged us less rent for the room, as they have a different room rate if we book for just one day or if we book for more than a day. I’m giving 5 star, for the wonderful people the hosts are.
