Ravenshoe Railway Caravan Park

Beautiful, quite spot. At this time of we're the only ones here and had a private show. If only the locals knew what they are about. Getting the trains (the big steam, ready)

going again, including the line. Great facilities and ran by a lovely couple.

Great location, can walk to the shops, pub etc. A good base to do the waterfall circuit. We stayed in the unpowered section which is behind the local park. It was quiet at night. On Thursday and Saturday afternoons, a local band plays in the caravan park. Clean and well maintained amenities.

Well located volunteer run caravan park close to the centre of town. Good value for power and water sites amongst the train exhibits. Very clean and modern facilities. We were in town at same time as the annual Torimba Festival and Parade with live music and events around the main street and even fireworks on the van site.

One of the most interesting van parks we have ever stayed in. We just did a tour of the old carriages which are open Mondays and Thursdays from 2-3:30 pm. The toilets and showers are very clean as is the yard. We sat around an open fire in the camp kitchen and had a blast of a night with other campers. Many interesting train memorabilia. $20 a night power and water.

Good clean amenities. Right in town at the railway station. $20.00 per night including power. Gold coin donation for showers. Great pleasant volunteers running it.

So much to see and do in the area including, Millbrook falls and the highest pub in Australia, (altitude 😉)

I would certainly recommend staying for a few nights

Stayed here for a few nights, $25 for a powered site. Toilets and showers very clean, great little camp kitchen with fire pit. Friendly caretaker, very quiet over night and an added bonus on Thursday's and Saturday's 3. 30pm to 5.30pm live music by the ,"G Strings" performing at the railway station. You can sit in the camp kitchen and watch the performance from there for free. Recommend this stay.

The best campsite ever! Beautiful people, great facilities, and you can tell that locals are looking after this place. We went there for a night, and ended up staying for a week, but had a beautiful time. Definitely recommend this place!

Has a Man's Shed at entrance. We had music on old railway station in park. Cost effective on our trip back in 2021

Fantastic caravan park! $25 for a powered site. Got in on a Thursday arvo and was treated to some live music and walking distance to the highest pub in QLD! Would definitely stay again

Great place to stay, very reasonably priced, toilets & showers were spotless, friendly caretakers, great atmosphere, bonus steam train and other railway rolling stock and memorabilia, and much much more!

We are camping IN the railway museum! So cool. Nice quiet spot within walking distance of town. No booking, so you have to turn up early and hope they have a spot.

Nice place to stay. Close to the town. Big millstream falls just 10mins away

Our stay was great, and the place is very clean and tidy. The caretakers are wonderful with alot of knowledge.

Great place to stay manager and staff friendly and helpful. Good place and town to stay and use as a base to to explore the Atherton Tablelands.

This caravan park is manned by volunteers, who do an amazing job, directing Van's in, booking in, and facilities are kept very clean.
Plenty of space to park your van and car. Would recommend, but have to get here early, as park fills up in no time

Great setting in a now disused railway station. Friendly staff and very clean amenities with hot showers in a low cost park.

What a surprising little find for a few days. Ravenshoe is just beautiful, with everything you could want, and the campground, well that was great. Nestled around several old railway carriages, with tours of the carriages on Thursdays and friendly travellers getting together every night around an open fire to tell yarns and trade travel tips. Amenities were ok, and water a plenty.

Amazing place, needs more funding and volunteers to make this place an Icon of Ravenshoe as The Pub.

Great base camp to venture out to visit all there's to offer. Great care'er team to look after all your needs
