Big Millstream Falls

Worth the walk down to feel the cool air coming off the falls. Pretty steep path however it’s smooth and in great condition.

I love this place. It's a beautiful location and, in good weather, safe for swimming. Do not attempt to swim there if the river is high. The currents are treacherous and many people have drowned as a result.

Impressive, easily accessible falls only a few minutes drive off the highway. There are reasonable bush toilets and parking. You may find the path a little bit steep if you really unfit, but for most it’s an easy sealed path down to the viewing area for the falls. Definitely best in the wet season.

A truly beautiful waterfall well worth the visit. The walk back up to the carpark is a bit of a gradient so an effort for the not so fit. Recommended a good hat and a water bottle for this one.

Spectacular falls and a quiet, full-bodied river before it where you can swim. Easy 3 minutes walk from the parking.

A well paved walkway down to a viewing platform. A lovely waterfall with rapids at the top and quite wide.

Good signage and short drive off the highway to get to the carpark. Toilets and picnic available. The walk is comfortable with some steeper slopes. The view to the falls was beautiful and it was running a good amount. Glad we made the stop.

The road in to the park is gravel but graded well enough that we could get there in our sedan.

A short run in from the highway and a nice walk on a sealed track at the end. Road was a bit rough with some potholes but passable.

Beautiful leisurely stroll down to the falls along the great scenic pathway. The falls were beautiful. Definitely worth visiting especially after a good rain.

An impressive waterfall, that is viewed from a platform on the opposite side of the valley. A couple hundred metres of even sloped ground to the platform, very easy walk. There are public toilets at the picnic/parking area, and a number of free campers in vans so I'm assuming that is allowed. Also a walk that goes through a historic ww2 camp location, which we didn't do. Personally I prefer little millstream falls, but if you have time see both.

Great Falls asphalt path makes the walk much safer and easier but your legs will love the workout going back up.

A bit of a drive away from the main national park area, gorgeous view of te falls, but no path to go to the base of the falls. Walking from the carpark to the falls lookout is a steep climb

There is a car park at the top, short asphalt path leading down 350m to lookout, no offical path to the bottom of the falls
