Fish Fetish

Best fish and chips I’ve had. After eating for a bit, the fish still remained hot and crispy, and fries remained crispy. Tartar sauce was thick and creamy, sharing a tub wasn’t enough so we had one of each.

Seating is scarce, from what I observed, many do takeaways, but having it served hot and fresh will give you the best tasting experience.

Very rare these days you go to a tourist area and get blown away with a shop actually delivers what they promise.
Bought a Hamburger with the Lot for a very modest price and every single ingredient was quality and made with care.
Beetroot, Egg, Pineapple, Bacon .... plus the rest of the ingredients on a fresh toasted bun.
Every bite was heaven.
Thank You very much to guy who served me Sat morning.... I wanted to come back and thank the shop personally.
Already told a dozen people how good it was.
Really appreciate people that take pride in what leaves the door.

A great chippy although it can get very busy at weekends and during summer. Easy to see why. Everything is cooked fresh every time we have been there. The cooks are always friendly and accommodating. This time we had the grilled salmon pack, which served two of us without overfilling. Certainly worth the wait if you are in the area.

Came down from inner Melbourne for a weekend trip and decided to go fish fetish for dinner the first night, the second night we came back again. It was fast, good quality and affordable. Had lovely staff and an amazing atmosphere that felt so lively and local. Will definitely be coming back down to Sorrento just for this place. 5 Stars!

The seafood is really fresh, you can feel it when it melts in your mouth! The bater is not too thick, yet still remains crispy after few minutes!

I love the vibe in the store, too, like in a vintage wooden ship - a but sad that they removed the car door once quite unique there.

It would be better to have more chip in the Fisherman basket that we ordered

We come down to Sorrento as I am on holidays from work and wanted to dip my feet in the ocean so fish and chips we got, all I can say is guys fantastic best fish and chips we have had, fish was great batter was light and the dimmys mmm yummo, the chips wow loved both hubby and I enjoyed this meal thank you and service was great staff where friendly loved it, and the out side eating area was a great place to sit and wait, the have a window that opens out onto the street so U don't need to go back inside just listen out for Ur number to be called 5 stars and will visit again

friendly customer service, food was fresh. the batter on fish was nice n crispy outside and fish soft n tender inside. Price is not as cheap as in melbourne, but everything in Sorrento is overpriced. We enjoyed eating it at the beach. 4.5 stars

Best fresh seafood, cooked to perfection! I would rate this fish & chip shop best in Victoria. Do yourself a favour and try it.

This place is absolutely awesome! The fish is incredibly fresh, the oil was fresh, the batter was fantastic!
The staff were really friendly too. If you are in the area do yourself a favour and come grab some food here! You won't regret it!

The biz name speaks for itself. Its specialty for Fish (& chips). We ordered fish for two but three people, so they simply add another one of each of the menu and add the extra cost - pragmatic.
We came during dinner and the wait relatively quick - 15 mins.
Price is equivalent to big brand fish and chips shop, but considering the scarcity of great fish and chips at this lcoation, it's justified.

The fish was fresh, it comes with the tarter sauce and ketchup.

Located right at the centre of the town.

Very nice fish and chips. Hot, fresh fish, crispy and tasty, no greasy old oil taste. Crispy batter, not thick or doughy.
Remember to crab a pineapple fritter for dessert, it’s sweet and juicy.

?? I cannot fathom the 3.8 rating. Albeit a bit of a wait, the deep fried fish came out piping hot, crunchy and lip-smackingly delicious. The chips were crispy and fluffy. The dimsim... Was a dimsim. But if I lived closer I'd come everyday. 🥲 The price is extremely reasonable too, and the service is warm and friendly. I can't think of even one bad thing to say!!! Really nice place to have fish and chips. The batter is light and crispy, the seafood are all cooked perfectly, no signs of overdone at all, food is served quickly and the owners are very nice too. You can choose to take away the food and have it at the front main beach just a minute drive away, really great way to have fish and chips and being close to the sea. Would definitely come back again if given the chance

Loved the Fish & Chips. So good and so fresh.
Definitely a go to place in Mornington Peninsula. Had a quick chat with the staff as well, amazing team who work so well under pressure despite being super busy throughout the day.

An amazing fish n chippy in Sorrento! The staff are just so lovely and accommodating. LOVE that they had a gluten free/coeliac friendly menu. The battered GF fish and chips were delish.

Very friendly staff at the counter. Good, reasonably priced menu prepared fresh- no pre cooked sitting in the bain marie.
The grille special of grilled fish, salad, chips, sauce and a drink for $21 was great value for money

Post Stage 4 Lockdown Review: No need for booking. All tables are outdoor and are properly spaced to observe spatial distancing. As of time of visit, eftpos is not available, although online transactions can be done through account transfer. Hand sanitizer is available at the counter. Really good fish and chips! They have an extensive menu, although to keep it easy for you, they have set packs. You have the option to have your meals grilled or fried, but of course I thing fried is always best. Seafood seems fresh. Food came quick and hot. Although beware of the pesky birds that might flock and steal your chips!
