I fear this place has ruined fish and chips anywhere else for me as it has my partner!

The most fresh, flavourful flake you’ll ever sample with a perfect batter. Just the right size to feel satisfied and not stuffed. Worth every $ so don’t bother if you’re not serious!

We got chips too any whilst they were not the signature supplier, they were still delicious. Well done on a wonderful treat by the sea!

Best fish and chips ever! We’ve been coming to Queenscliff for over 50 years and it’s great to have the original owners of Queenscliff Fish and Chips cooking up the crispiest high quality fish and chips I have ever eaten anywhere!

We pre-ordered on Thursday to beat the Good Friday rush. Our order was taken seamlessly over the phone and we were advised that staff would do their best to have our order ready on time but there might be up to a 30 minute delay.
On Friday evening the shop was packed but staff worked brilliantly to fill all orders ASAP. Our large order was only 20 minutes late ( less than we’d be warned), it was totally correct, hot and delicious. Great job. Thanks!

Fish batter cooked to perfection. Super crispy and light. Doesn't feel greasy. Good portion size.
Their signature burger with the lot is also a hit.

This fish is absolutely the best I've ever eaten, continually come back here anytime I'm in the area. Would tell any one who listens this is the best fish and chips in Melbourne!

WOW! I came in around noon and placed a big order thinking it would take a while to cook. 12 minutes on the dot. Not only was the service great but the team overall delivered one of the best fish and chips I've ever had. So if ever your in Queenscliff. Come past to the original fish and chips. =)

The best hamburgers (with the lot) we've ever had! Love the extensive menu with so much to choose from. Will definitely be going back to try other things. Keep up the great work.

In the past We’d always gone elsewhere for our fish and chips but then during our stay at the QMF last year, we were so impressed with what we’d ordered the first time we went there, that over the course of the 4 day weekend we went back 6 more times! Fair to say I was obsessed with the butterfish in particular. I cant explain how melt-in-your-mouth the fish was, and the size! The batter was always perfect, not too crispy or half arsed, and always a perfect light golden brown. My partner’s favourite choice quickly became the hamburger with the lot, and he’s pretty particular about how they’re made. The chips are always seasoned adequately. The price for everything is also reasonable given you’re right on the foreshore & everything is fresh laid out in the display cabinets.
Depending on what you’ve ordered, certain items are front of mind and packed separately which is also a huge bonus! For example the fish will always come in a tray instead of being chucked in altogether with the chips, potato cakes etc, which means you don’t end up with soggy, half battered broken fish when you open up the paper. As is scallops 👌🏼
When it comes to the service, we haven’t been able to fault them yet! And we’ve been in Queenscliff during two of the busiest weekends of the working calendar for the town. The young tall bloke we assume is the main driver for the team, does well to keep everything running smoothly and his patience with both the customers & those whom are on the til for the night, it’s a credit to him. If you haven’t been here yet DO YOURSELVES A FAVOUR AND THANKS US LATER!

Amazing food, I’ve been coming here for years and has not once let me down. Lovely staff and the perfect spot to sit down and enjoy some fish n chips!

This was by far a better alternative to the other we tried. Great fish and chips. Had the fisherman's basket which is great value. Very impressed. Only downside is the step to get into the store.

Excellent fish and chips. The online ordering system worked well and you can order in advance.

We went the fish burgers with some chips and potato cakes. (As it's always good puting a potato cake in the burger).

Had a fantastic lunch. I was recommended butterfish in my fishpack and it was so huge I couldn't finish it. Luckily my kids were there to help me. I'll definitely be back for another delicious feed.

Great fish and chips. The grilled flake was lovely and thick and the calamari sticks were moist and not dry and chewy. We really enjoyed the lamb souvlaki as well.

Best fish and chips!! Portion sizes are more than enough to satisfy. The fish is so fresh and delicious and the chips were unreal. Staff in store were friendly and provided great service. Wouldn't go anywhere else for fish and chips are coming here

Service is fast and friendly. We ordered the duck fish and kingfish, scallops and chips. Food was cooked to perfection. Truffle tarte is a must try. We Highly recommended.

This place took me back to my childhood, where having fish and chips was an absolute treat and cooked to perfection! Even my 12 year old who is fussy about chicken nuggets, wholeheartedly approved. Will definitely visit again.
