Hotel Sorrento

The room was comfortable, clean and beautifully appointed. Every staff member we encountered was friendly and helpful. The food at each of the restaurants (we ate at The Dining Room and ShiHuiShi) was delicious and the service was great. The hotel is located close to shops and walks and has beautiful views of the bay. We would stay here again and definitely recommend this venue to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway.

This was my first time staying since the renovations & I was beyond impressed!
The hotel is stunning, great vibes and delicious food and drinks in the restaurants and bars. Fantastic complimentary breakfast.
But the overall highlight was the staff! From the moment we checked in everyone we encountered was so friendly and went above and beyond to help and make us feel welcome.

Family of 7 for dinner on Saturday night. The new changes made our experience even better. Table service now with very friendly staff. Food was excellent and even though a little bit higher, the table service and staff efficiency more than compensated. Congrats! You may just need signs on the little balcony area to indicate no smoking, otherwise, even though very crowded - no issues for us at all.

Stunning place to spend the final two days/nights of our trip across Australia. We stayed during Easter weekend and the energy on the property was really special. Will definitely come back to this area, and this hotel, again next time we're passing through.

Our dining experience was sensational. The Parma was perfect with the smoked ham, the ravioli a taste sensation and the roasted pumpkin made your tastebuds dance.
Chris the chief extraordinaire server with his effervescent personality made our night. Thanks for brightening our dinner.

A great place to stay as you are close to town. A beautiful view across the Bay and into Town, we stayed in Studio 35 which is possibly the best room for views. If you would like a relaxing weekend stay, this is the place as I can assure you it will not disappoint. The rooms have everything you will need to have an enjoyable time in a place that is so close to all the action of the Sorrento town. The views from this room are spectacular, and I would highly recommend

As usual Hotel Sorrento was fantastic and now with the pool and new rooms it’s fantastic. Would definitely stay again. The restaurant is fantastic too. Friendly staff even though our group of 20 had numerous dietaries it wasn’t a problem. Food was delicious and the share menu was very reasonable.

The last time we went to Hotel Sorrento was prior to COVID, it has changed significantly since our last visit. The food we had was absolutely delicious. The chicken and fish was absolutely delicious. There was a really good choice of wines, but the selection of beers looked a little bit pedestrian.. but regardless of that I would recommend lunch or dinner at Hotel Sorrento at a drop of a hat. If you’re having lunch or dinner I recommend booking a table in advance as it can get extremely busy..

Thanks for helping make our 31st wedding anniversary special. Given the weather it was lovely to get a balcony table having wonderful views and a nice sea breeze. The staff were all very helpful and the food delicious.

I enjoyed a very nice dinner with my family and friends here. The service was great and all the food was absolutely divine! I fell in love with the Prawn Linguine. It was cooked exceptionally and I would drive all the way to Sorrento again just for that dish. Everyone else really enjoyed their meals and I can recommend this as a great spot for group dining.

Lovely couple of days. The bar closed early but thanks to Adam who served us a round of drinks even though the bar had closed (it was only 9pm however). Terrific new pool area and the staff were all lovely. Highly recommend a visit.

Outstanding experience.
From the rooms, to the pool, the restaurants and the service we had an amazing time at the Hotel Sorrento.
We had the chance to eat in both restaurants. The Dining Room and shihuishi both execptional food experiences on their own. I am not going into detail, as all the dishes we had were great. So was the service. No matter, if reception, service by the pool or in either of the two restaurants. Friendly, attentive and welcoming.
Home away from home.
Unfortunately we live on the other side of the world and cannot be regulars, otherwise we would be!

Just had lunch at the Sorrento Hotel and was amazed at the changes that have been made since my last visit ! In particular the dining experience has gone from good pub fare to serious restaurant quality food with table service to match ! I noticed there’s a new accommodation wing with pool so we’re looking forward to staying over next visit! I rarely give reviews but today’s lunch was fabulous so my wife and I felt the need to write a review and tell others of our experience ! Highly recommend

Dinner was amazing. The mezze selection is diverse with the twist of Greek cuisine.
Oysters , zucchini chips, beetroot salads, prawns & calamari. The fish n chips & params were high quality

Service was attentive, quick, and helpful.
The venue was a bit noisy (Australia day).

Chocolate brownie was a nice finishing touch

Definitely be back.

Had an amazing staycation at Hotel Sorrento over the Christmas break. The new rooms and pool are the epitome of luxury - I didn't want to check out and will definitely be back very soon. The service is friendly and top tier, no ask is too small for the team. The food is also outstanding for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Couldn't recommend more

Went to Hotel Sorrento for meal on Valentines day, lunch time. Beautiful staff, so warm and friendly, made a fuss of our 7mo baby. Nice ambience, tasty food, particularly loved the baba ganoush starter with smoked Turkish bread. We had a walk in the beautiful gardens afterwards. Stunning views of the bay(?ocean!). Overall wonderful experience, thank you to the lovely waitresses and waiters (one in particular who was a natural with our baby, you deserve a promotion!)

My partner Had dinner at Hotel Sorrento on Saturday night and enjoyed it so much that he brought me back on Monday! We shared the beef tartare, the kingfish, we each got an eye fillet and a grain salad. Everything was absolutely delicious and our waiter was incredibly kind and attentive! Very much enjoyed the experience! I think George Calombaris has nailed it! Can’t wait to return to try more of the menu! Thanks Aldo- you’re a gem!

Just had an amazing “ feed me set menu” here today. I’m GF and the menu was $89 a head
Bread was swapped for these delicious puffed bean chips, grain salad was swapped for a beautiful green salad.
My mum who is diabetic her dessert was swapped for a cheese board.
I was expecting to pay extra ( that being Xmas and all) but nope. It was just amazing. Absolutely beautiful , we will be back. The waitress could not have been any more helpful. After Covid the service everywhere has been terrible but not this place! Spot on.

ALWAYS a pleasure at The Hotel Sorrento, ive stayed with them many times over the years and the new renovations they have just made are fantastic - huge swimming pool & lounge area with sun beds to chill and tan, the pool new rooms are absolutely stunning! Don’t let this detour you if the pool rooms are booked, on the hill and heritage rooms are also fantastic!

Always an amazing experience staying at HS, the staff are friendly and always accommodating. The food is 10/10 amazing dinner menu, sunset drinks on the rooftop ☀ also the buffet breakfast - world class!

Once again, cannot fault the hotel!

We attended the Friends of George event recently and had an absolutely brilliant experience. Thanks to George and everyone involved in putting the event on - it was outstanding. As locals, it's nice to have a place to go where the food and service are exceptional and you are made to feel so welcome. We will be back soon.
