Tasty Bamboo Garden

My family and I are visiting Gold Coast as tourists. After 2 weeks of many different cuisines, we thought we will switch to Chinese for a change since we haven’t had Chinese for 2 weeks and we were delighted to dine at Tasty Bamboo Garden. Service was tip top with the lady owner greeting and serving customers. We ordered Hot and Sour soup, XiaoLongBao, Spring Rolls, Peking Duck, Crispy Noodles with duck, Beef Brisket Claypot, Claypot Beef intestine with pickled cabbage, garlic stir fry organic cauli-flower and Mapoh Tofu. My kids and I loved all the dishes. The Peking duck (12 pieces for a full duck) tasted great. The cauli-flower, duck crispy noodles and the Claypot beef intestines were the highlights for me. Service was attentive and dishes fairly price. With the above dishes we ended up paying slightly less than AUD200. So really deserves a 5 star rating. If am to be picky, I would pick on 2 things: 1)I prefer the whole Peking duck to have 16 pieces instead of 12, so that the duck and pancake amount is just right. 12 pieces is a bit too meaty for me. 2) The Mapoh tofu tasted well but not authentic as it carries less spices & herb taste. However, these 2 points are personally preference, the dishes are still very tasty and deserves 5 star rating.

Excellent Cantonese Chinese restaurant with dynamic friendly staff. Fresh deep fried ice cream with delicious pastry. Could not fault the food. Very skilled chef. All the dishes came out high quality and absolutely delicious. Ask the staff for recommendations if you don't know what to order.

We have ordered multiple dishes there during my friend’s birthday. It was a pleasant experience, staff was so friendly and welcoming to accomodate our needs. The food were so good and it actually reminded me of home. If you are actually looking for an authentic Chinese restaurant, this is the place for be for any friends and/or family gatherings or occasions. I am glad I have finally found the best Chinese restaurant in the Gold Coast. Will definitely visit this place more often in the future! 🥰

My partner and I had our dinner here before we went for the musical. We’re warmly welcomed by Lindy, the owner, and we were seated in a nice table outdoor. She’s so friendly and explained clearly what we would have for our set dinner. Got us water and wine and managed to keep the flow of food in the right pace. The chicken corn soup was good and of right portion. The deep fried dim sum tasted ok too. The 2 mains that we ordered were salt and pepper squid and satay beef with vegetables. They’re very delicious and the portions were generous. That’s why we couldn’t finish the fried rice. The fried ice cream was perfect to finish the dinner. Overall very happy with the food and the service. It’s just a little hidden gem round the corner of Australia Fair. Don’t miss it if you like authentic Chinese food. Highly recommend!

Went here after reading reviews. Did not disappoint. Restaurant was full and was greeted promptly and by name by owner. Large portions of food and tasted amazing. Fried ice cream was also very yummy. Def recommend

I had a $29 dinner and it was absolutely sensational. Started with corn and chicken soup which I would never order as I don't really like soups - loved it. Dim Sims were the best I had on the Gold Coast - perfectly cooked and delicious. I also had blackbean sauce beef, honey chicken and fried rice - everything was yummy. Also desserts - so much food, I took home enough for the next day, no cooking for me:) I will definitely be back! Can't forget to mention the service which was really good, the lady serving us, sorry, didn't get the name, was very cheerful, had great sense of humour and lovely personality. One of the restaurant I am really going to come back to, so happy I found it:)

First time visiting with my friend. We had Sesame Toast, then we shared a Steamed Rice, a serving of Lemon Chicken & a serving of Beef in Black Bean Sauce
- The food was delicious & came out quick

Very Friendly Service, Nice Decor, With Indoor & Outdoor Seating. Had The $13.80 Dinner Special, Which Consisted of Chicken & Sweet Corn Soup for Entree & Sweet & Sour Pork With Rice for Main. The Value was Excellent & The Quality of The Food Was Fabulous. Also had a Fried Ice Cream for Dessert- Yummo !!

Have been coming to this place for as long as I can remember. Service was top-notch, and the female boss was really attentive. The dishes that my family and I enjoyed the most from this place are steamed fish. The fish is always fresh and tasty, and the soy sauce compliments the sweet and fresh silver perch. (Literal translation) Italian Black Vinegar pork, I think it could be a balsamic vinegar type, it taste similar to the sweet and sout pork less tartness from the tomato sauce. Last but not least was the deep-fried toufu, a nice balance to the fish and balsamic vinegar pork. When you are lucky, you might get a homemade soup, cantonese style, the perfect way to complete a sumptuous meal.

I have been to this restaurant a few times, and everytime I'm always impressed by the delicious, fresh food which comes in huge portions. The staff are also super friendly and attentive at all times.

I already look forward to having my next Chinese meal there!

My dad is a regular and the staff were so friendly and kind. Food was excellent quality but our meals came out at very different times, assume it was just a bad night /short staffed. Otherwise outstanding experience.

Really enjoyed our dinner here, so much so that we ordered something to take away as well. Fresh, healthy and tasty dishes. Extremely friendly staff and quick service.
