Cozy and great place! The lovely boss is like my mom. She is always really nice to me. When I'm here, I can feel like I'm in my home. They serve lots of Korean home-style side dishes. There're so many Korean restaurant in Brisbane, but I didn't see like this place. Almost everything is like the taste my mom cook. BBQ menu costs pretty much but also really great!

Delicious food and friendly warm service! Great flavours and plenty of fresh ingredients. Just perfect. Definitely worth a special trip to eat here!

Home-made side dishes were great and the BBQ was delicious - really fresh meat and prices pretty much on par with other places in Brisbane, but the value here is definitely higher. The food overall seemed authentic (no fusion, classic flavours) and when we went it was a good sign that everyone there was Korean! Service was friendly and great - you do have to ask for things sometimes but they are more than willing to help!

We went there today around lunchtime to do take-away for some Korean dishes (so, not the BBQ). I found the meals very reasonably priced (15 $ for a main course) - in some of the other reviews it was said it's expensive (did that apply to the BBQ maybe? I didn't check those costs). We didn't have to wait long for our meals even though we had ordered in total about 7 main courses and some side dishes to feed two families. The food was very delicious and a welcome change from other take-away foods that we get often (Thai, Indian, Mexican). I'll definitely go back there and try more of their dishes. (Perhaps one draw-back is that the number of choices for non-meat dishes was a bit small.)

Edit one week later: we have been back to this place, this time we had the BBQ. It was a great evening, the food was lovely, easy to cook at our table, the condiments and side dishes great. It is very reasonably priced in my opinion, very affordable. The owner who doubles up as the chef and waitress (I think) was super friendly! - The only small drawback is that for the BBQ you have to sit on their verandah and that's quite close to a main road which is noisy. But when you have a good conversation you quickly forget about the traffic noise (we were there on a Tuesday evening; at other times it might be quieter).

This is by far the best korean bar b q restaurant my partner and I have been!! Their serving is massive. The meat taste great, you can really tell it is a good quality meat. Plus, side dishes were homemade and heaps of variety to choose from. Excellent customer service by friendly staff. Undeniably worthwhile experience. I will definitely recommend it to my friends and family.

I am a regular customer and I always find the food and service exceptional!! I’ve been meaning to leave a review but I’ve been lazy about it. I went there again today and ordered Bulgogi Tookbagi which was so yummy that I am finally writing this review.

I can confidently say that their food is authentic Korean dish and all the ingredients are very fresh. I’ve tried various dishes and all of them are very tasty without any MSG taste.

I’ve recommending this place to my friends and colleagues and hope you will have the same good experience at Sik Gaek.

Best Korean restaurant in Brisbane!!! Experience true home-cooked Korean cuisine including Korean BBQ. Friendly staff. They also sell Korean side dishes such as Kimchi (various sort), potato salad, fish cake, and seaweed at really good prices. Love eating at this place!

Served fresh with quality ingredients. Really enjoyed the Bossam and the array of side dishes.
A very big plus is the Fresh home made side dishes (i have seen several restaurants in Sunnybank reuse uneaten side dishes and i wont go back to those places).

Korean comfort food just like my mum used to make... if she was Korean. Lovely owner who makes the best home cooked food. Great prices and you can even buy homemade varieties of kimchi.

Good value and tasty Korean BBQ. Decent range of meats including a little seafood and great little coal BBQs that made the $25 all you can eat well worth it. Be aware though, prior Korean BBQ experience is helpful as the staff are fairly quiet.

This was my first time I had experienced a Korean bbq, very impressed. Delicious, fresh food. My family & I asked if we could move our table outside to dine al fresco style in the sunshine, no problem

Bbq has masive serving compared to others. Tasty home made side dishes and marinated meat. The place is cozy, does not feel commercialized and the people are accommodating. So far the best korean bbq place i have tried. Price is reasonable, you get what you paid for.
Highly recommended. Will comeback with friends..

My wife is Korean and we eat Korean food at home, in Korea and all over Australia. We got bibimbap and jayeukdakbap - both were very fresh and good quality and tasty

Our first time at a Korean BBQ, absolutely loved it! We had the Pack D which is on special on Sundays.

Very delicious food. Great service and food comes to the table in minutes. Great in winter as the charcoal bucket is nice and hot.
