After reading some of the reviews, I felt like I need to add my thoughts.

Although I wasn’t around for the raffle being drawn, I bought some Disney blind boxes that day and saw the staff giving tickets to people but nothing being explained about rules for that day so I can understand why there might be some upset customers.

The event was disappointing and clearly not organised well.

You can clearly tell the bunch of new “good” reviews that have arise overnight to try and bump up their store rating. Example, the reviewer Chris saying that the staff explained the rules which was not true, it was simply “remember to be here at 12pm for the raffle”. Nothing else. Nothing about if you’re not physically there at that time, your ticket will be forfeited. Or that they will call the ticket number out 3 times if you don’t come forward, it will be forfeited. Nothing.

Stop fabricating your reviews Popmart Garden City. It is a bad look.

I’m not even one to often give bad reviews, but this just wasn’t it.

As a loyal customer who has come to this store almost every weekend since the grand opening, spending thousands of dollars, inviting many family and friends to the store, I am a bit disappointed that I have to write this review.

Today, I attended the event for the new Labubu x Pronounce plush, where I had many of my family members, work colleagues and friends attend. We all bought products in order to obtain the ticket for the Labubu. Whilst waiting for the winners to be announced, which was a bit over the 12pm mark, winners were called out.

During this time, my aunty had to quickly rush to the bathroom which is when she had her number called out. When I advised that it was my aunty’s ticket, I couldn’t even get another word in to try and explain to the staff member that my aunty had went to the bathroom. The staff member had just yelled out my aunty’s ticket number, “25. 25. 25. Next” simultaneously in the matter of 5 seconds. And then instantly moved onto passing my aunty’s ticket and calling out a replacement.

We had 7 people in our group and none of us were advised that this were the “rules” for the day. No communication where the winning customer’s number is called out 3 times before the ticket is passed. Nothing. And even if this is so, it is not professional to call the number out 3 times in the matter of seconds.

Communications on social media channels were as follows “3. Lucky Winners should take their qualified raffle ticket to make the purchase at the participated stores on 13 April”. After the event, many customers today were confused and thought it had even meant collection can be at the end of the day.

My family members, friends and even fellow customers that witnessed what had happened were disappointed and thought it was handled extremely poorly.

At the end of the day, I have and still adore the store and enjoyed every visit I had here, however, unfortunately, moving forward, I will not be going to this store due to this.
