Absolutely outstanding casual Japanese. As a former resident of Japan the flavour quality and authenticity are top notch. Also swift service and keenly priced.

The omakase dinner was sumptuous, good for value and the sake was beautiful paired with what we ate! What made the dining experience extra enjoyable was Helena and Rika’s excellent customer interaction. Thank you and we will be back!

This is the best Japanese restaurant in Sydney. Food is always delicious (including take-away) and very good value.
Highly recommend if you fancy a Bento or other type of Japanese style cuisines.

Great selection of bento boxes as always. Even though I haven't been here for a while. The quality still hasn't changed.

Very very good spot for affordable sake and a la carte or set menu authentic Japanese food. They recently (May 2023) started offering a dinner service in addition to their main lunch business. The Masuya Group has very strict staff training so floor service is excellent, warm and professional. Food arrives very quickly and there’s an excellent selection of wines and sake available to match the flawless food. Sensational value mixed sashimi, delicious teriyaki chicken, super tasty and crisp tempura, wonderful mackerel sushi, and loads more including, at lunch time, beautifully arranged lunch sets. In this quiet part of the CBD after dark, it’s also a great place for an early dinner. Last food orders are around 8:30pm though, so not suitable for late nights.

음식은 그냥 무난하지만 양이 많고 서비스가 좋음

We went there just before lunch so the place wasn’t as busy. We sat down and ordered food. The lunch plate that I ordered was sold out so I chose a different lunch. It was all normal. My son’s food came roughly around 10 mins later, I waited and waited my food so I asked the waitress to check if my order is coming, she was distracted with other customers and she didn’t get back to me( she didn’t check for me). I waited another 5 mins and asked another waitress who originally took my order. Then found out that she didn’t include my food. So I waited for nothing.
I ended up buying an already made bento box there because we were running late to go to next appointment. I rushed to eat my cold food.
She didn’t apologize to me and she wasn’t helpful.
She also forgot to order my son’s drink.
I was very disappointed big time. Won’t go back there.
