Glebe Park Playground

Glebe park is a beautiful place for both children and adults. Spread over a wide area just beside Canberra Centre , the park has a lot of space for children to play. Besides the existing facilities such as swings, slides, monkey bars and see-saw, there are heaps of equipment such as water pipes, balls, tyres, fabrics, paints, etc provided by PLAYFUL ENDEAVOUR, City Renewal Authority to be engaged with.
Adults can have a stretch on the green grass or take a walk.

It was the closest park area near the Crown plaza hotel and it was also the best in the area.

Lots of green space and also entertaining areas if you wanted to meet and have a day out with family or friends.

The playground had lots of options of what to do but the main attraction seemed to be the water pump and water play area. The kids joined together and spent hours playing amongst themselves or with a group of other kids in the park.

Had covered areas for events or gatherings and benches for sitting. We also enjoyed a couple meals at the picnic tables which had covered umbrellas that were able to be used.

Perks
• multiple paths, bench seats amongst trees, picnic tables around the entry wall way of the park, every area has seating of some kind.
Permanent bins both recycling and rubbish around the park.

Glebe park features large stone entry columns with metal fencing and different plaques to tell which side you are entering on example “oak tree gate” near the oak trees with falling nuts and leaves in autumn.

Large rotunda gazebo near the middle and close to the new nature play area. Plaque on middle of the floor about the parks opening.
(Those scooters are every where destroying nice photos of the park though)

Toilets located further up the park aswell as bbq picnic areas.

Cons
• can get busy on good weather day
• parking is limited during weekday and sometimes on Saturday, free parking on Sunday around the area.

Would not recommend going during 12pm to 3pm during summer heat as the equipment may still be hot

Beautiful place in the city for a quick visit and relaxing if you are travelling to Canberra. It has everything, playground for kids, picnic benches, bbq, toilets and lot of chairs to use.

Great little area in the city. Also have free BBQs and toilets. Plenty of tables and seating available and play areas for kids. Perfect for summer BBQs in the park.

Glebe Park Playground is a haven of fun and adventure for children and families. My daughter had fun sliding at the playground. She makes a lot of friends there too. The park is well maintained and we have a lot of fun. We will visit again.

Nice park closer to city centre. Has playground and a good place for outdoor activities. Nice place to spend the day especially in the hot summer. Its a little bit hard to find a free parking though, except in the weekend or after hour. Has public toilet, bench, and BBQ spot.

Came here on autumn, the park is so pretty, lot of fallen leaves. The playground area has good swings, slide and see saw

Great place for a walk, jog or kids play area in the city center.

New adventure-style equipment added December 2019 really adds to this park.

Nicely maintained and plenty of play equipment, geared for 3 and up, not little bubs though there's plenty of space for to run and play as well
