The staff were super-friendly & very efficient. The property was fantastic, everything in working order. The views are wonderful, and the whole experience was so relaxing.

The Members Bar facilities were also excellent. The food was absolutely tremendous - almost best in town. The only thing you could consider changing is the way breakfast is charged - perhaps the price per head with a buffet type setup like a lot of hotels have would be better, but it was still very good.

Great to stay at a quiet location with an excellent golf course on site. lovely breakfast offering and great staff. rooms clean and well looked after. Not able to have an evening dinner but numerous restaurants, hotels and RSLs nearby resolves this issue. looking forward to our next visit.

We were close to both Port Phillip Bay (to the north) and the ocean (to the south).
The hotel is part of the Portsea Golf Club so you overlook the course and have the the bay in the background. The room was well designed and it was good to end the day with a wine on the balcony as the weather was perfect for both days of our stay. The shower cubicle was well-designed and did not require a door or a step to prevent water flowing back into the bedroom. The shower cubicle tiling setout was one of the best I have ever seen and I have stayed in hundreds of hotels throughout the world. The reception is only open during normal business hours but it did not impact on our stay as both the checking-in and checking-out procedure was simple and friendly. Overall we left the hotel very refreshed which was the purpose of our trip to Portsea.

From check-in to check out all Mercure Portsea staff were helpful and considerate. Room was clean and super quiet. Breakfast was fresh and quickly delivered.

One minor comment the aircon fan could not be put on low setting.

Sea view rooms are 'a must' if you wish to avoid looking at narrow streets, even though they're more expensive.
Rooms have been refurbished and are neat and optimised.
SPA area is clean (hammam, swimming pool) but would require to be updated at some stage. Would suggest changing the metallic bench in the hammam for a wooden one to avoid burning issues :-)
Breakfast is great and restaurant menu might be a bit expensive for what is served, even though the quality is definitely there (but maybe not the quantity).
Would overall recommend the hotel for his great location, very friendly staff and overall pretty good amenities and food

We stayed as a part of the Stay and Play package. We were made to feel really welcome, the team were friendly and really interested in how we were enjoying our time. The course was fun and the facilities top notch. Thanks

The greeting on arrival by the receptionist was very charming and welcoming, also was able to assist us arrange a taxi to take us there and back to our Restaraunt we had booked that night .The receptionist on departure was equally as pleasant
We were upgraded to a very spacious, and we'll appointed room.Bed was extremely comfortable, A welcome gift was waiting for us in our room ,which was a nice surprise as it was our wedding anniversary we were celebrating .Breakfast was just right size for us.It was definitely one of the better Mercure hotels I have experienced as an Accor member of many years

Had a wonderful 2 night getaway. Breakfast was perfect and the staff were wonderful. They even rang me after to let me know I'd left an item in the room.

Was there for golf, fantastic course, room was very nice, only disappointment was that the bar closed at 6.00pm and no dinner service. The place was pretty full, so I think they are missing out.

Booked as a special offer and was not disappointed. From the time of my booking to when we left the staff couldn't have been more helpful. Bob and Pete and Caz in the restaurant were fabulous. We booked only for one night but we wished we could have stayed longer. Ate in the bar lounge for dinner and the food was very nice, they also offer a carvery on the first Friday of the month which appeared very popular. We got a superior room which had a balcony overlooking the golf course and saw the most amazing sun rise. The room was comfortable and everything clean. Small bathroom but adequate. Good heating in the room for these cold winter nights. Overall a lovely place, would highly recommend it and even better if you're a golfer!!

Great hotel in beautiful location. Great service and yummy breakfast. Unfortunately the weather was not supportive, very windy and raining all days, so couldn't explore the surrounding.

Excellent place to relax and unwind. The room was clean, comfy bed and pillows, clean sheets and bathroom. The breakfast was superb!!

We stayed for our 25th Wedding Anniversary and they gave us a free upgrade with the best view and a bottle of wine. Thanks Mercure for a wonderful stay!

Fabulous location - stunning views. Rooms are comfy. Breakfast is available at the golf, and is quite unimpressive.

Very relaxing 3 days. Great views from the balcony looking over the golf course with bay views in the background. Room was clean and comfortable with modern fittings. Was a great base to explore Point Nepean and Sorrento areas.

We really enjoyed a birthday celebration weekend in Portsea at the Mercure. A relaxing, modern facility and a spacious room with plenty of linen and generous amenities. Maddy’s attention to detail was refreshing.
We loved the sea breezes blowing across our balcony with distant views of the bay and passing vessels. The friendly birds amused us all weekend.
