Ginger Baker Café - Food & Wine

The cafe is our must visit on our High Country visit, even if we have to detour to get there. Its a cozy space with the best coffee and yummiest food. The cafe’s outdoor setting opens into a reserve alongside Ovens River. We would come back again and again !

Great location. We have been here on our last visit Bright and pleased to say this cafe is consistent with their meals. Tip: arrive early and there is little to no waiting time for a table.

Strong latte - sixpence coffee very nice.
Vego brekky and a onesie with side of potato rosti. Poached eggs cooked perfectly (again) mushrooms, tomato and halloumi very well seasoned.
Very enjoyable, highly recommend.
Dogs are allowed inside also.

Beautiful setting right on the river. Welcome fur babies with clean water bowls and on tap water for.them.

Come here on a busy Sunday morning during winter. And the atmosphere was really nice. Got service really quickly and the food come out quick also. They also have small woodfire inside so your not cold while eating your food. If you visit Bright this is the place for breakfast

Ginger Baker Cafe is amazing! The croissant was really good and melted in my mouth. The Scrambled Eggs with sourdough bread were also delicious. The staff was friendly, and the cafe had a cozy vibe. You should definitely visit this place for a delightful experience!😋

Excellent breakfast/ brunch venue. Quality ingredients served in tasty dishes with great customer service and in a very reasonable time. Fantastic covered heated deck /courtyard atmosphere for winter. Pet friendly.

This is without a doubt the best cafe in Bright.

If you are in Bright, then I would highly recommend that you pay a visit to this cafe.

* Starting with a warm welcome, taking you to your preferred seating location, offering and taking you through the menu, serving the food to settling down the bill, you will experience nothing but excellent customer service.

Have been to the Ginger baker a few times over the last few years when we visit bright. When it’s busy it’s gets hectic and the service can drop a little. We visited this weekend and besides one other person there was only me and my fiancé there and oh my gosh I would have to say the BEST eggs Benny I have ever had and the mushrooms were Devine. My partner had the big breakfast and everything was on point! Sixpence Coffee was great and service with a smile! Perfect spot in town and a very rustic warm feel.

Mum and I had a wonderful lunch out at Ginger Baker. She had been wanting to come here for a while and it didn't disappoint. Inside the fire kept us and the dogs warm whilst we enjoyed a glass of wine and ordered lunch. We shared the saganaki, lamb cutlets and the pork and fennel meatballs which were delicious.

We had breakfast here and ordered the Ricotta hotcakes, onesie and GB Muffin which we all enjoyed. Nice coffee too. Great Customer Service and very dog friendly!

Nice place for breakfast or brunch, right beside the water play area and playground. Food was lovely and the staff is great. Usually pretty busy, so expect a bit of a wait for sit downs, but it's well worth it.

In my opinion, this Cafe/Bakery makes the best coffee in the area, especially soy latte. Also, I couldn’t resisted to not have one the best breakfast meal, even when I had breakfast an hour before. Those shredded potato balls are my best breakfast experience.

Very cute cafe in Bright that serves early breakfast and good coffee.

I ordered the Veggie brekky – 2 poached eggs, smashed avo, feta, mushrooms, roasted tomato, spinach, halloumi on sourdough toast ($29). Everything about this dish was fresh, tasty, and goes well together.

Service was friendly and prompt. I even picked up a muffin as they looked so good!

Had coffee one morning and was pleasantly surprised, went back the next morning for breakfast and we were very impressed with the menu and quality of food!

Great Food, exceptional service especially from a young lady named Georgia. Service with a smile and went above and beyond for us. Highly recommended. Lovely place to sit out the back under the big Oak trees. Amenities were clean and the place had a very relaxing atmosphere while being child friendly. Do yourself a favour and give this place a go. As we entered the cafe, we were greeted with a lovely smile from the young Irish lass at the counter, and her service was wonderful. The food was great and the coffee was fantastic. We would certainly recommend a visit

Absolutely excellent! Very friendly and helpful staff who were so kind about my lost voice! Beautiful brekkie - eggs so fresh I think they were still clucking! Highly recommend if you are in bright.

This is the second time we've been to Ginger Baker and both times the food, coffee and service have been fantastic. This year we came in with our 4 month old in a pram, and they were so accommodating in making room for us. In a situation that can make first time parents feel like an inconvenience with a large pram, the staff were nothing but kind, and made us feel at ease. Coffee is sensational, food is delicious, reasonably priced and perfect portion sizes. Thanks GB, we'll keep coming back!

As a non- coffee drink they had English breakfast tea with tea pots and mugs set aside for tea drinkers 😃

The out side area was excellent with the sun coming down on the table though the trees.

Excellent service and fantastic food. We had a light lunch, 2 meals which were both exceptional. Good atmosphere, chairs a bit uncomfortable.
