The staff really hustled for us and put up with some of our party being really late, which we really appreciated.

Cocktails were delicious and cheap.

I love the atmosphere of this restaurant and the concept that they bring into the dinning experience, the food was incredibly good! Especially when I ordered "Libra" this dish became my comfort food and for the cocktail I like to order either "Goat" tastes refreshing, "Dog" for coffee lover or "Dragon" with the fire on the drink, they also have mocktails options for the ones who can't drink alcohol. Definitely will come again!

I’ve been here 2 times already- the food/drinks are SO GOOD, filling and so affordable ($10-15 for each dish/drink) and the atmosphere is to die for (it kinda gives jungle/rainforest vibes)!! The only thing is the service seems a bit disorganized sometimes, but that’s only bc the place is always so crowded so the servers have to try their best to get to the tables and it’s really loud so sometimes they can note down the wrong order. Still understandable tho! And doesnt take away from my 5 star rating. Highly highly recommend this place for a large group of friends!!

A fantastic dark & vibe-y place to have a tasty and value dinner in. Their set menus are value with filling portion sizes and you get a wide range of dishes with it. Highlights were their dumplings and their eggplant dish, but their meat dishes and veggies are also really high quality and filling. This is a rare find and a must visit if you are looking to dine around in Newtown! (booking is essential though as they are quite busy).

The dumplings are delicious, would recommend pan-fried dumplings, yum! The waiters are very patient and nice. The presentation is excellent. The vegetarian and vegan options are quite good. The atmosphere is incredible, I'd give this place six stars if I could. It is also very clean, it gives off good vibes. Highly recommend!

This place is probably one of the best place in newtown. I went here twice already i must say it was worth the price. The food was great. Highly, highly recommended! 🫶🏻

Really loved the atmosphere! The food was top notch. Chicken fried rice, chicken and chive dumplings, black bean crispy noodles, mongolican chicken and bok choy and mushroom dumplings were just some of the amazing dishes we had. Cocktails were really nice and some were quite fancy and fun. I do recommend that you plan the time you go well as we had the earliest session and still had to wait quite a while. Definitely a hot a popular place on weekends so something to be mindful of. I would definitely recommend and hope to go back soon.

First time here. Very good. The dumplings were very tasty and the duck pancakes were amazing. The ling fish dish was especially sticky and delicious. The special fried rice with chicken was great for soaking up the juices from the other dishes especially the site fried seasonal vegetables. The $12 cocktails were a nice treat to start the evening. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive. You must try this new restaurant in Newtown.

BEST COCKTAILS AND FOOD!!! The dumplings are always delicious and the drinks are so reasonably priced. The cocktails are so yummy and strong, which for $10 is so good!! The food is so yummy and then vibes are good. A bit dark and the service is sometimes slow because it’s usually busy/ booked out but I’d 100% recommend their drinks and food!!!

Drunk dumpling is my favourite restaurant for dumplings in all of Sydney. The food is delicious, it’s made fresh to order, has a positive atmosphere and I dine here often. Even when the restaurant is extremely busy, staff are friendly, smile and do their best to accommodate your needs. Lorena and Anna are so kind, helpful, considerate and lovely people. I’m so thankful for them both, I highly recommend everyone make a reservation at drunk dumpling to have an amazing dinner experience! 🧚🏼😇

An exceptional dining experience! The food was outstanding, especially the varied selection of both fried and steamed dumplings. Each dish was generously portioned, beautifully presented, and utterly delicious. Despite the bustling crowd, the composed and welcoming staff accommodated us, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable meal. Without a doubt, I'll eagerly return for another delightful dining adventure.

Love drunk dumpling! Cheap cocktails, good food, overall a great vibe but the service could be better. After you order once it will take forever to get the staff’s attention if you plan to order more. Honestly the venue could use more staffs

Amazing food with great service and comfortable environment! This newly opened Chinese restaurant in Newtown is fantastic! Must try their Spring Roll, Hedgehog Bun, Ice Plant Salad and Singapore Chilli Prawns!!! They got Michelin Star Chef and great Bartenders. Really like how they name their Cocktail menu with the Chinese zodiac!

Came here on a weeknight and absolutely loved the vibe. Got one of the set menus so we could try not only the dumplings, but the main dishes as well.

The highlights were the duck pancakes (sooo delicious), the eggplant and the sizzling beef.

Highly recommend Drunk Dumpling! Definitely make a booking here as it's not the biggest restaurant, and it's super popular.

The food here was great - the ma po tofu and the northern style vegetarian dumplings were delicious. There were lots of vegetarian options which was great. I liked the atmosphere of the restaurant - quite loud, fun music playing. They have cheap cocktails too.

We had the nicest food for dinner. Everything was yummy and the service was impeccable. It really is a hidden nook in Newtown that catches you by surprise. Will visit again!

Upbeat music (maybe a tad too loud) and a really nice, dark interior make this is a really fun spot to get a good meal. The highlights were definitely the dumpling dishes over the noodles or stir fry.

Delicious food and went over my expectations to be honest. The soup dumplings were so yum. Prices were great. The cocktails were nice and the food was all delcious.
