Lloyds IGA Newtown

This IGA is jammed packed taking full advantage of the small footprint compared to other IGAs and supermarket. Great range of cold beverages and snacks and also pantry staples. Pretty much has all household cleaning items covered as well. Parking is available on the street and also behind the building.

Such a huge store! Short walk from Newtown station and the staff are really friendly and always say hello. The fruit and vegetables are always fresh with a great variety available

Great range of products in store. Decent promotions and always friendly staff. I am not a local to the area, but have been back to your store over the last few weeks to find the same service and well stocked shelves. Wish my local IGA was this good.

I like to thank a friendly and kind shopper, who paid for my Orange and poppy seed cake on the 24th of Aug evening around 6pm. I just remember that forgot my wallet at home until I was ready to pay. And this wonderful lady stepped in and paid for me. I like to give you my sincere gratitude, I want to pay you back if you read this message. I am thankful for your kind gesture.

Tonight at 7:30pm I purchased 2 bags of potatoes for the wrong price. I went to refunded as it was overpriced. When I went to the cashiers the cashiers weren't as friendly. I believe they were just really tired as you can see their discontent on their faces. Anyhow, what started as a pain in the butt ended up with a such a great customer experience with the manager's intervention. He was friendly, polite and very helpful . He went to check the price for himself and realized the mistake and gave us the potatoes for free. I don't usually shop at Newtown but after this experience regardless of the staff on duty I will come more often for groceries and I will recommend this shop to my friends as I can see the dedication and passion through tge manager's work.

Big range of different foods and the staff Re friendly, they also have parking out the back

I like the Lloyds iga in Newtown it was a really long store it was a bit narrow it had an excellent product range it had good service nice produce good selection of drinks cosmetics health and beauty good signage nice clean store I would highly recommend this store for a really good shopping experience

Good supermarket, with lots of manager special. Some are cheaper then the big boys. I just pick up salad server basil pesto chicken and 500ml orange juice for less than $10, that was a good bargain for my lunch.

The staff are very helpful. The duty manager is always reminding me to ask any of his staff for assistance should I require it given my physical disability. I find that very thoughtful and respectful. The only improvement I think IGA Newtown could make is to offer free trolley for the disabled, elderly and shoppers with babies and young children. It overcomes the specific challenges of these group of shoppers.

Been searching for the infamous Toobs for a while now and left my name with Steph. Didn't expect a call back but she came through with the goods and kept some behind the counter for me! That's quality customer service right there!

A community focused store providing Excellent service . The boss even delivered some items to my wife in hospital . Words are not enough to express our gratitude. Support this business . There are few around like this anymore !

My favourite IGA.
They have a huge range of stock, they are open long hours, have fantastic staff and hands down have the best quality fruit and vegetables around.
This IGA really is in a class of it's own. 11/10 for Newtown.
It's exceptionally better than the Enmore ( Enmore has some very very rude staff who openly insult you in their language so you can't understand) and Stanmore (Stanmore has lovely polite pleasant staff but the store is low on stock often and has shorter hours)

I go there 3 times a week it is quite expensive the rare specials are a bargain but its $7.50 for a 120g box of nutri-grain that's one bowl for a teen boy. I can get 2 Xlarge boxes 500 gms of a very similar cereal with less sugar for $7.00

I always have a great shopping experience at IGA Newtown, it is my local supermarket and I've been shopping there since it opened, the staff are friendly and they have a great and varied range of products for the size of the store. I had a problem with a product that my elderly father purchased which was faulty and he wasn't given a receipt, so I phoned the store and spoke to the manager on duty Robert, he was fantastic, I took the product back and he sorted out quick smart with a smile on his face, he was helpful, friendly and his customer service skills are second to none. This is what separates IGA from Woolworths and Coles, they are truly local for the locals. So I'd like to say thanks again to Robert you Rock!

I always used to visit this store when I used to live in Newtown. It's small yet has a highly competitive price than Foodworks near the Newtown Train Station. Though availability of products are limited and their price compared to the big giants Coles and Woolies is a bit dare, the only reason I like about this place is their cheerful checkout staffs.

Last time i was shopping here i ran into a young folk, i think his name was Olip or Oli or something like that. He was extremely friendly and helpful and knew where all the stuff where. An employee like him should be appraised, will be coming back.

Staff are always nice here. Especially the ones that have been around for years.. you know who you are! I appreciate you 🙏
