Rutherglen Motor Inn

We loved the tranquility the space and the privacy of this motel. The layout of the motel rooms is very spacious and there are 2 doors from the room, one to the inside hallway and the other rooms and the second door to your parking area and outside areas. The breakfast was great and the assistance from the hosts was friendly and helpful. We had a great sleep at this motel. Thanks Brian and Maria. We will return!

Customer service is excellent! We were very well welcomed during our holidays. The rooms are clean and tidy, nice swimming pool for hot days and simple breakfast options.

We absolutely loved this motel and wished we had scheduled more nights here.
I booked directly which gave me a chance to have a great chat with the owner and so I knew I'd get good service, and he didn't let us down.
The unusual, retro feel of the very spacious rooms was so refreshing. The bed was HUGE! The massive bathroom with BENCH SPACE BY THE SINK!!! was an absolute godsend.
Every tiny thing had been pre-empted, and it was apparent that the owners have drawn from their own motel experiences and said, "what do WE like when we stay somewhere?", rather than opting for what every other motel does.
The garden and bbq area, the pool, the cosy fireplace, all made you feel like you're staying at a friend's. (Truly - this is high praise from me - I've worked in the hotel industry and I'm ridiculously but realistically critical!).
Even my 12 year old son said he wished we didn't have a scheduled deadline in Melbourne, so we could stay longer - high praise from a kid who'd been on the road for days and seen quite a few motels!
It was a lovely walk into town for a difficult choice of excellent dining options, and interesting little shops.

A great place to stay in Rutherglen.Bryan (the host). Was just good. The rooms are good. I would reccomend this motel to anybody looking for a GOOD place to stay overnight or an extended stay. The central corridoor running the full length of the building is a unique part of this motel that I have not encounted before in any motel we have stayed in. A reasonably priced breakfast is available in the breakfast room accessed within the building. Thanks Bryan for a good motel experience.

The staff here were so lovely. The location was a very short walk from the centre. The place was spotless & lovely & warm inside. Would definitely stay here again.

Don’t waste your time anywhere else! The staff were so friendly at the Rutherglen Motor Inn. They made our stay such a pleasure and we felt right at home.
