Tapsell's Books and Music

I absolutely love this bookshop! So many interesting books and books of all genres imaginable, the owner (I’m assuming) was so sweet and the star of the show his black cat Monday!!

I love THIS bookshop. It's a taste of the twentieth century in the twenty first.
A fine selection. I always go in vowing that I will not add even more books to my pile of perpetually pending prose, however a rarity always catches my eye and must be had.
The bubbling fish tanks and the eclectic music is another fantastic element bringing it all together and making for quite the memorable stop, every time.

Great book store with a large collection. A store you could spend hours getting lost in. Every time we pass through Rutherglen we always make sure to top by and always seem to pick something up! Definitely a must stop if you are in the area.

A huge bookshop of used books of every kind. There's an unusually good cycling collection, and Wild West pulp fiction seems to be a particular favourite. Lots of valuable, unusual and appropriately highly priced items too. A terrific visit!

How a bookshop should be, I could get lost in the stacks for hours. There is a great vibe that has been lost in modern bookshops - the tall maze of bookshelves, the piles of books, the perfect music, right down to the black cats roaming around. My annual trip to Rutherglen would not be the same without a visit to Tapsell's.

A wonderful store to get lost in for hours. A fine collection of second hand books, no junk to be found here. We loved the books and tunes, what a find!

One of the best 2nd hand bookstores I've been to. All alphabetical and the proprietor is incredibly knowledgable and has excellent taste.

I love the shop. One of my favourites places in Rutherglen. I always find something fantastic when I go there. No eating, no drinking, no undisciplined children! Good on you.

First experience in this store, plenty of books…. Bought a Jack London classic I could afford :)
