The Victoria Hotel Rutherglen

I have been wanting to visit the Victoria Hotel since it was refurbished 6 months ago and wow, it did not disappoint. It has been tastefully designed with a mix of modern and old. The courtyard is fantastic, spacious and welcoming, creating a great ambience. There was a good selection of the region's wines and between the 4 of us we chose to do share plates. All the meals were excellent and the service to match. They will definitely be seeing me again, I highly recommend.

We had a great meal. We shared some starters amongst the four of us and our main steaks were cooked to perfection. Wait staff were attentive and service was quick. Our initial wine was a bit slow to arrive but it was a busy Saturday night so very understandable. The renovations are wonderful and have turned a very tired pub into a gleaming gem. Outside area looks large in the photos but only has 4 tables. We were planning on eating outside as the weather was superb and we had a little dog with us, but outside is bar snacks only. Made alternative arrangements for the dog and had a wonderful meal inside. You will need to book as it's is a very popular place. Can highly recommend and we will be back!

Recently went for lunch at the Vic. Our waitress from France was amazing, all staff so friendly and welcoming. We had our daughter with us in a pram and staff couldn’t have been any more accommodating. The food was sensational. Flat bread entree, gnocchi, scotch fillet steak, sides of carrots and chips were all great. Thanks and will definitely be back again soon.

We had been looking forward to visiting the Victoria Hotel after its refurbishment and were not disappointed. We visited the bar and dining areas which have been tastefully designed with a mixture of the old and modern features. There was a good selection of the region's wines and our dinner was excellent. We will definitely return.

What a delightful experience, food is absolutely delicious, gluten free meals are so delicious. Service is amazing staff are friendly. If you want a pub experience go to the Victoria Hotel in Rutherglen, you won’t regret it. Highly recommended.

We have been to The Victoria a few times for afternoon drinks but decided to try dinner. What an amazing experience!

The service was impeccable and the food was so to die for. Having been cooked over flame, the steak and barramundi were so, so delicious and my daughter had the gnocchi with flame grilled broccoli - also amazing!

The staff are very attentive without being smothering and the atmosphere is elegant and casual.

We will definitely be dining here again!

Food was amazing!
I'm a foodie, love a good meal and I was in absolute heaven.

Lamb was tender well seasoned and the balance of flavours in the dish were perfect. The carrots funny enough were my favourite and if I could have taken them home I would have.
The whole meal felt like high end fine dining food.

Make a booking and visit. Order the carrots and thank me later.

The food here is exceptionally good. I particularly enjoyed the whipped cods roe with lovely charred bread. The gnocchi was also excellent. The service was attentive.

We had a lovely family lunch. Service was excellent, the steaks and fish were recommended and certainly didn’t disappoint. All local delicious wines. Thank you for having us and we look forward to coming back next time we are in Rutherglen.

WOW! What an incredible place. Better than brilliant service. And the food!!! It’s to die for. Cannot wait to come back and try more of it. This pub has a great feel to it. And it’s also roomy so you can have conversation with others at the table. Will be back over and over for sure.

Delicious dinner and drinks at The Victoria hotel. We had steak, carrots, salad and gnocchi. Everything was absolutely delicious and I can't decide what I liked more. Service was attentive and friendly and our waiter had great suggestions for wine and sides to go with our mains. Thank you!

We had Sunday night dinner here last night and it was, without doubt, the best pub meal I have had. The venue was pleasant, the service friendly and helpful and the food outstanding.
I recently ate out at four top Adelaide pubs and the Victoria left them all for dead.
It was very good value for money and next time I'm in the area, I will definitely be dining here. Congratulations to the owners, managers and kitchen staff.

We had a lovely dinner at The Victoria. Great gnocchi and wine, fabulous table near the fireplace and friendly knowledgeable service. A beautiful building too. Will look forward to our next visit.

This beautiful establishment has been lovingly restored with style and taste. The heritage-meets-modern interior creates an effortless ambience for gathering. And a delightfully procured dining menu by chef Brendan matched with local wines is a feast for the senses. The immaculate rooms offer a luxurious stay and the perfect base for a week of wine tasting in Rutherglen’s delightful boutique vineyards. We don’t recommend people visit here, we insist!

Easily THE BEST dining experience we’ve had in ages. Aside from the exquisite renovations to this absolutely stunning hotel, the hype about the food was something we wanted to experience and judge for ourselves. We have to say, the food was incredible, to the point that you feel you’re at an internationally recognised, hatted restaurant! However for me, the highlight of the night were the staff who were no less than brilliant! Engaging, interested and courteous with a firm grasp on the menu and wines. An absolute must for anyone visiting Rutherglen. We will be back!

Have been lucky enough to have dinner at The Victoria twice now. Food and atmosphere is great. Staff are all very friendly and can't do enough to help.
Such a fantastic renovation of a great town Icon.

Our lunch at the newly renovated Victoria Hotel was amazing. From the time we arrived to the time we left, we were very well looked after. The drinks and food were excellent as were all of the staff.
I have recommended a visit to many.
