Foundry Cottages

Thanks to Anthony and Julie for a wonderful stay at the beautiful Foundry Cottages. We stayed for two nights in March, and it was the perfect accommodation for a weekend away and would be great for a longer stay. The cottage had everything we needed. We particularly enjoyed sitting in the gorgeous backyard for breakfast. Anthony and Julie were very welcoming and gave us some great recommendations for things to do and places to eat.

Nice old colonial styled cottage in a quiet street location of Rutherglen. Lovely backyard and back porch for relaxing in the late afternoon. Comfortable bed and air conditioning in the lounge room and bedroom. Note this is a two bedroom cottage that's fully self-contained with own kitchen, laundry and bathroom for our own solo use. We enjoyed our stay thanks Julie and Anthony.

We stayed 4 nights at Foundry cottages with our toy poodle. The hosts Anthony and Julie are lovely and went above and beyond with their hospitality without intruding. We stayed when there were multiple 30+ degree days and having airconditioning and ceiling fans in the bedroom and aircon in the living area was a godsend. Our dog absolutely loved the beautiful backyard and we loved the fig tree with ripened fresh figs. Thank you for allowing us to stay in your little cottage and for being dog friendly. Would definitely recommend if anyone is looking for accommodation in Rutherglen and surrounds.

Stayed two nights at Foundry Cottages . Delightful decor , old world charm but with all mod cons . Lovely treed garden . Our hosts had thought of everything, provisions were plentiful and everything was excellent quality.

Brilliant. Could not ask for a quieter and cute location. Hosts Julie & Anthony could not do enough. The cottage is fabulous clean and fresh and so comfortable. Loved every minute of it and was welcomed in by the hosts. We will be back as we missed a few wineries. Loved it. Thank you.

Light breakfast cereals, and a great variety of condiments from butter, milk to teas coffees and hot chocolates.
The fruit Loaf was just delicious!!
Great for pets, our little chihuahua loved roaming around the back yard inside secure fencing ...

This is a really nice place. We only wished that we could stay a little longer. The cottage was very cosy and every provision had been considered. Our hosts, Anthony and Julie were very kind and knowledgeable about the area and its most famous product, fortified wine. We will be back.

I can’t rate this beautiful accomodation highly enough. Absolute stunning little cottage, warm, comfortable and exceptionally accomodating. All essentials plus more accounted for. Julie and Anthony are a delight and obviously take such pride in their business. I will be back!

We have stayed at Cuddle Doon Cottages on numerous occasions. The cottage is immaculate, the yard is secure for our dogs. The provisions for breakfast are first class and Beryl and John are lovely. We stayed there in March 2021 and we will definitely be staying there in the future.

Beautiful place to stay, spotlessly clean, everything you could possibly need and easy to book. Would highly recommend.

Wonderful warm inviting place to stay,I love how they have the heater on when we get there,or in summer it's lovely and cool,the beds are comfortable,everything to make a cuppa and something to eat,my dogs loves the yard to run around in after a long drive,it's perfect,I highly recommend it any time of the year..Ann&John
