'Locale' restaurant at De Bortoli Yarra Valley

Absolutely a great dining experience, especially if you are taking the window seats , you would be able to view the vineyards. We ordered pork belly for entree and confit duck leg as the main, really delicious definitely worth the wait. Can tell the food has been made with heart and patience. Highly recommended!

An excellent experience with delicious alacarte menu & wines. Fabulous attentive service. We had a lovely time having a celebratory lunch.

A large party (14) with the booking fudged by me, we were accommodated in every way by every staff member with grace, humour and patience. The food was excellent, as were the wines, and the setting.
My mother (90th birthday) had a lovely day, our ultimate goal.
Thank you to all staff there, front of house as well as kitchen.

We visited Locale to celebrate a 90th birthday. Everything about our experience was perfect - great atmosphere and absolutely delicious food. As a food challenged person, I was looked after on an equal basis to everyone else and my meal was equally as good. I’d like to thank Aidan in particular for his consideration and care. We had our wedding at DeBortoli this year. It was such a magical day thanks to the team at Locale. All of our guests couldn’t stop complimenting the amazing service, food and wine selection. A big thank you to Laura and her team for allowing my husband Tom and I to have the wedding of our dreams!

As always, great food and atmosphere. We visit here as often as we can and it is always wonderful.

Operating a cafe menu at the moment due to Covid restricting the numbers of people in the restaurant but the food and service was great and I definitely highly recommend a visit - just make sure you book or you may miss out.
I had the duck parfait which was super smooth and tasty followed by the gnocchi which were perfect little pillows, light and delicious. I chose the pesto sauce and was not disappointed, a vibrant fresh sauce that worked very well with the gnocchi. Topped this off with a couple of glasses of De Bortoli wine, a view out onto the vineyard and it was the perfect lunch and great way to get back into eating out after lockdown.

My husband and I had an amazing experience dining at Locale this evening. Awesome service and food. Terrine and risotto were marvellous and the tiramisu was a delightful surprise! Hoping to come back for more wine!
