have been loyal to JR for years and not just because the logos match my initials, the blanks and glassing surpass alot of the imported brands in terms of durability and with more competitive pricing its a no brainer to support a local shaper, the sloth has been my all time favourite board, have also loved the bam bam 2, step cousin and voodoo redux.

Hope you’re traveling good. Just wanted to say a huge thanks to everyone for those 2 boards !! The Bam Bam is epic !! Put that thing on rail and it has soooo much flow, hold and speed and carves like crazy !! So so good on an open face. The Wraptor, that should be illegal as it’s that easy to catch a wave on that thing. From slop to shoulder stuff I’ve played with it and I’m in love with thing. Such a fun fun board. 2 of the best board I’ve ever hoped on !!

I ordered a board to use as a twin with heavy glass and asked for extra strength around the fins.
2nd surf (about 3hrs total) in average surf and the finbox completely folded out of the board doing a little bottom turn. I sent a message that day and was told to bring it back to the shop and Core Vision Glass.
They looked at it for a day and told me there was too much damage so I mustn’t have looked after it (they found lots of micro cracks). They could repair at my cost.
I took the board to a repair guy I trust, who sent me a video showing the finbox only had resin bonded to half of it, the rest was just holding on to air/nothing. The other finbox also started cracking.
When I sent that video to them with a casual “FYI” message showing that it clearly wasn’t glassed properly (not asking for anything, refunds etc), they respond with- “you’ve made your point, we disagree, time to move on”….
Weak glass and weak customer service!

I never agreed with them and always stated that it was made poorly (maybe not cured fully).
The fins are my old favourite fins that are 3 years old and have had a good life (huge scrapes is a massive exaggeration).
I just wish I could post photos of it and the messages of our conversations!
