This place has no atmosphere but the food was way better than expected
Dony be put off by the dowdy look
Don't judge the book by its cover.

The food is totally worth the wait. Yeah, you might have to order an hour before you plan on eating, but you won’t be sorry! Mongolian lamb and sweet and sour pork are our families fave!

I agree with Ben Authentic Aussie Chinese food, service and atmosphere, fairly priced , value for money and 90% of the time it tastes great, sometimes the owner is a bit stressed but you can always get a smile out of her if you try.

I tried this restaurant last night and was very impressed with the quality of food. Having worked in cafes and restaurants I can understand the pressures of trying to get 20-30 orders out at once and not turn away customers. I did find Alison who is a lovely person slightly hard to understand and she was in a hurry, that is due to rushing to the need to answer the phone and help things run smoothly in the kitchen/ packing food etc. The Fried rice was the best I have ever had- very generous portions of meat-prawns chicken and ham and not too oily- just fantastic! the honey chicken was tender and perfectly cooked and the dressing kept separate which is great as you can control your sweetness and caloric intake! We got extra prawn chips as a nice, unordered bonus. My friend had Mongolian lamb and she said the meat was delicious ,tender and lovely flavour. We were told 20 mins and the food was ready absolutely in 20 mins. Good quality food is not just cooked left in microwave and heated in 2 minutes to make it easy. The chef cooked all our food fresh and you can taste the difference. Highly recommend!

From the authentic Chinese service / phone manner to the perplexing name, this place screams authentic Aussie Chinese. The food is definitely better than your average Chinese takeaway and goes down bloody well with a bottle of McLaren Vale Shiraz from Wine Haven in Killarney Heights. Get with the programme.

I used to come here with my family back in 2010. Everything was very delicious, especially the fried prawns with I think butter and hoisin duck wraps. Of course 12 years have passed, so many things might have changed xD might have to go back to Australia to check.
Really recommended :D

We dined at the Fu Kwai the other night and can I just say that they lived up to their reputation as the oriental specialists in the greater Forest area.

Our meal began with a delicious round of Tsing Tao’s before we wetted our appetite on some duck pancakes which were robust and flavoursome.

Our main consisted of Rainbow Beef and Sweet and Sour Pork (both house specialities). I can personally vouch for the authenticity of these dishes and would recommend any one try them.

If you decide to dine in at this local hidden gem, ask for a window seat so you don’t miss out on in restricted views of the Sorely Road pedestrian crossing. Tell them Scotty sent you.

Great suburban Chinese food.

To everyone complaining about the phone ordering situation, that’s the charm of ordering from here. I don’t get why you’d want to be on the phone any longer.

Best Chinese good that you can possibly get in the northern beaches. Yes the lady is rude. But the food covers her attitude :)

Excellent food. The mongolian lamb is a must have. A small, quiet restaurant with friendly staff. Will definitely go there again.
