Bakery & Cafe – Banjo’s Edmonton (Drive Thru)

Pleasant surprise! Definitely recommend to visit on your way in to town or out south.

Staff were exceptionally friendly and hardworking. I ordered a soy cap and for once, it wasn't piping hot unlike other places in Cairns. I also found the shot of caffeine to be quite potent and strong.

Overall a nice warm ambience to sit back, sip your coffee and people watch.

Extra notes: drive-thru service, combo deals, free wifi, full bakery offering.

Early morning cravings brought us to this place today. We were very pleased with the result! We have a semi-big family so we purchased 2x Family Boxes which consists of 4x pies & 5x small savouries. 😍

The prices were very reasonable, the pies were fresh & delicious! Only one thing was to perhaps add vegie salt/seasonong to the cauliflower/cheese & tuna mornay pies 👍other than that, my & family & I were pleasantly satisfied!

We also had a caramel & snickers slice which was delightful! Thanks a bunch to the all the team at Banjos Bakery! 👍🙌😊

Beautiful fresh pies and sausage rolls

Without a doubt the best bakery in Cairns with the friendliest service you could ever ask for . I tried them for the first time a couple of weeks ago as I was passing through, since then I have driven from the Northern Beaches to Edmonton (56km return trip) for the past 2 Saturdays just for their pies. I can now say I have tried every pie and not one has disappointed me. My wife and Mother in law smile every time I come home with their pies, plus thier chocolate fudge brownies are absolute heaven. Please do not change a thing and I will see you all again next Saturday. HIGHLY RECOMMEND......

We work from home in Cairns North and drove to Banjos in Edmonton today for their fine coffee, pies and superb blueberry tarts. This will now be our regular treat…thanks for the friendly service and great products. Definitely worth the drive.

Finally Banjo's in Cairns ,tried years ago in Tasmania and loved it..
Had a Tasmanian scallop curried pie with blueberry custard tart and sausage roll..

Friends just brought us a range of pastries from Banjo's for morning tea; fresh crispy and delicious...we will be going there ourselves when we need baked goods !!!

A very decent experience for lovers of well crafted pies.
I have now sampled most of Banjo's range - the standard meat pie leads the way, including the party pie version, a two bite beauty, closely followed by the beef & 🍄.
The egg & bacon 🥓 pie really is a true delight, with great taste & texture. Scallop pie is great, but at just shy of ten bucks...understandably, for sure, I can't often go there.
I have to make mention of my dislike....putting it mildly, to be honest....of the chicken curry pie, which I didn't eat beyond my first bite. The taste is...well, it's just about ok, I guess, but it just doesn't hit the mark overall, and texturally, it's simply all wrong, for me at least.
I noted today a new addition of a Beef curry pie, but I simply wasn't game enough to give it a go, due to my dissatisfaction with the chicken curry variant.
Edit: Happy to report the Beef Curry pie much better, although through my multiple pie samplings on many days, I invariably enjoy, as my firm favourites the superb Meat pie, including the party pie sizes of same, along with the Egg & Bacon pie - for me, very hard to go past these, and it's about time I revisit a Scallop Pie, too!!
Overall, if you're in the region, it's definitely well worth visiting this pie haven....I have not sampled the coffee, but have repeatedly noted it being extremely busy & popular, and that being right next door to a larger coffee outlet....it has to be decent, surely, eh?

I've not had their deserts but their savoury items are DELICIOUS. Their opening hours are convenient, open early so I can go before work. Love their sausage rolls - pastry is perfect and they're heavily filled. Lots of different options for different dietry needs too. And FREE SAUCE - gotta love that.

Very friendly staff and good food.
We came for the first time and as tourist they where so helpful to answer all my questions.
Can't wait to start coming more frequently.

My 3rd time here. The staff are friendly and provide excellent service. The bread is baked on site, certified delicious. The coffees are delicious and the menu is filled with awesome savory options, healthier sandwiches and a cabinet of amazing dessert slices. Would give 6 stars if I could.

We popped in on Sunday for the first time to grab some lunch, so glad that I did.
The instant you walk in the door your nose is assailed with the pleasant aroma of baked foods at the same time your eyes are drawn to the large and impressive display of pastry treats.
Pies, sausage rolls and pasties that looked fantastic and had the belly rumbling with anticipation.
Purchased a couple of pies that were scrumptious however the two pasties were the highlight.
Being ex South Australian we love a good pastie and it’s rare to find a pastie in FNQ.
Hats off to the bakers and the friendly staff.
This is a bakery that I will keep going back to time and again in the future.

We went to a party that had Banjo's pick up catering packs - so yum.
We grabbed a selection on the way to a friends house for morning tea, it was a hit with the kids and us adults.
The service was fantastic, I got some great help to help choose a selection.

This bakery has a DRIVE THROUGH available attention parents and people who are needing to not say get out of the car... this place has my heart on rainy days (hey it’s cairns so that’s half the year!!) I’m going to get a very large tum from your delish bakery items! I know the iced lattes are great too. Thanks team banjos!!! You play the game very well.

Fantastic new bakery style cafe with friendly staff. Cheese and Bacon pie is amazing and the Blueberry Cheescake is to die for. Sandwiches and wraps available too. Dine in, takeaway and drive through. Oh and they cater too 😁

Pay for a better pie and you won't be disappointed. Cape Grim meat is 5 star as are scallops, chicken parmi and tuna mornay options. A new favourite for me.
