In response to Susan Robinson review firstly as everyone knows there is always 2 sides to a story. She comes in the shop once a week and orders the same thing and I am usually the one that serves her , so saying she didn't know the size of the chip had changed over 4 weeks ago is wrong . Head Office eliminated the small chips all together not put the small to medium at all the small chips where in a cup .
I gladly up the size on the chips and said that she would have to wait because I had other orders to do in front of her at this stage witch she said was fine, she asked for chips and grave unless you ask for the Gravy to be separate and pay extra for the tub it goes on the chips , it's not our fault she had changed her mind after her order was already done . She got the same amount in both boxes and yes there was a mix up with both getting Gravy my junior to the order and was busy serving other people so I just thought both had Gravy. As thats what she gets every week. As to the refund she rang in 1 hour after getting her order and said she wasn't happy with it and my wife said bring them both back in and get a refund. So she orded the chips around 1/1.30 pm rang around an hour later 2.30 / 3.00 pm and then bought 1 box back at around 6 .00 pm handed the box to me and I looked in side and some of the chips had been eaten but still i gave her back the $5 and she said no $10 and I said where is the other box then she said her son ate them and I said so they weren't that bad then , i said you can't eat them and expect to get a refund she said she was told that a lady told her she would refund the $10 and I tried to email plain to her if she had bought both boxes back yes not 1 . She started to get cranky with me and asked to see the lady
I turned to get my wife and said to her I'm the owner and I'm not giving you $10 I've given you $5 for the 1 box you brought back,Then she said to me I don't care if your the owner I won't the refund then i said in your own words lady I don't care your not getting it . And yes I spoke back to her in the same tone she was speaking to me and she didn't like it
She said I'm going to ring the police as she stormed out , and I said good ring them because I'm in the right . After around 15 minutes she returned to the shop and said there on there way
And guess what as we all know they didn't turn up because she didn't ring them . I've been in contact with the police re this matter myself because I have video footage and other patrons as witnesses of the whole incident. But I thank you for your feed back and review because it just shows the person you really are Susan because there is no were in the world where you can eat something and get a full refund you bought back 1 box and you got 1 box refund Cheers Mick

New owners are amazing, I love the food and its so good to grab a little pre cooked meal as the other food shops don't open until abit later...and it's delicious too...love night owl it's literally my go to..

Just another convenience store

I was just abused and yelled at by a very irate older man(apparently the owner)-as he yelled "listen here lady, I am the owner of this store💪"..😯. And I actually had to call the police, because he was so angry yelling at me over the counter😮. I walked out of there shaking in shock, that a worker/manager or owner could treat a customer the way he treated me.. And it was all over him not wanting to refund me the $10 his wife had already told me on the phone earlier-to come down and grab. I ordered 1 large chips and gravy, and 1 small chips without gravy over the phone. They didn't tell me that they had taken away their small chips, and had now put the 'medium/regular' ticket on the 'small box on the counter. Regular/medium being $4, Large being $5. So when I seen this, I said if I'd known on the phone that you stopped doing the $3 small, I would have just ordered another $5 Large(an extra $1 for double the chips..). So he grumpily said 'if you want to change it to a large you'll have to wait', I said that would be fine. His junior had just filled the 1st large box at this stage, and I went to get a drink. After the 10-15 minutes I watched the manager divvying out chips into 3 boxes(another person ordered 2 large also), he made sure I had the tiniest box :/ (I didn't say anything at that stage). He asked his junior to get the 1st large box out of the warmer, and put the other box with it..I asked which one had the gravy, and he said "they both have gravy..were they not supposed to both have gravy"(very crankily..)-so I just said it didn't matter, and I left. After getting home, I realised that the 1st box that was put in the warmer-he had poured the gravy on instead of waiting till the other box was ready :/ So I didn't just 'not' get my 1 large plain crispy chips, I got a super soggy box of inedible chips that had soaked up the gravy over that 10-15 minutes in the warmer🤦‍♀. I had to call them, I spoke to a lady, that turned out to be his wife, I explained everything that went wrong from the phone order to the end result, and she told me to come down and get a refund🙏. On going down the husband was NOT happy! He threw half the money at me, I asked him if I could please speak to his wife, and he just got angrier, resulting in me needing to call the police.
Workers, managers and owners deserve to be treated with respect..but so do honest customers-we do not deserve to be intimidated abused and yelled at by any staff member-especially an owner..and especially over $5/$10 :/
There is usually a younger worker there through the week, most of the time he serves us, and he's lovely, always has a smile, very polite, and has great customer service. And they do usually have great chips. But unfortunately we will not be going back.

Whoever was working this morning May 3rd around 8:30 has below average customer service skills even for a nightowl worker.
