Box Office Cafe

Stumbled across the Box Office Cafe on a trip out to Geelong. Clearly a favourite of the locals, it was a Saturday morning and it was PACKED. We were a little nervous at the potential wait time as we had places to be, but it was well worth the stop.

I ordered the Firecracker Chicken Po Boy which was SO good. Impossible to actually get the thing into my mouth as it had so much chicken in it but they nailed it with their in-house firecracker sauce and ranch.

My partner ordered the Maple Bacon Cheeseburger which was juicy and delicious. We ended up cutting them both in half as each other's food looked that good (also what's the point of being married if you can't go halvies).

The Po Boy came with house made crisps and the Burger with hand cut chips which were both great!

Of the two meals the Po Boy was definitely the winner.

Coffee and hot chocolate were good as well. Staff were lovely and service was reasonably quick even with how busy they were.

Incredible food, we got the Croquettes and Bacon as well as the Strawberry and Lime Crepes. The Croquettes needed a little more seasoning but the regular bacon was delicious and the Crepes were fantastic. Heavy for only one person to eat, but great to split. The lime was a great acid balance but not overpowering. The crepes were soft and stuffed with cream. Definitely would recommend Box Office Cafe if you're in Geelong.

You will be greeted with a rustic, laid-back, and chilled environment where you could dress up for the occasion or rock a pair of thongs and still be at home.
Service was top notch, and the food was cooked to perfection and delicious! The trio of beef was my favourite.
We were a group of 8, and we ordered a variety of different dishes to share amongst the table, to experience as much of the menu as possible.
If you are after your typical "pub meal" then this probably isn't the place for you, but if you appreciate gourmet food and craft beer, that is locally sourced and produced, then you definitely will love it here.

Cute cafe with vegan dessert options! Food was good, the po boy was excellent! Coffee was delicious too. Staff was friendly, helpful, and accommodating of dietary restrictions. Lots of vegan dessert options in the case!

We went on a hot day, and it gets a little warm inside (though still much cooler than dining outside).

Lovely cafe with amazing food and vibes! House made Waffles were the best that I had with them. It was crispy, wasn’t very sweet and topped with fresh fruits, berries & icecream. Staff is extremely friendly and took care of our special request. The place is big to accommodate many people/groups. We went for brunch and it was quite full.

Excellent food in geelong west . Breakfast was fantastic, excellent value and the coffee was great. Dogs 🐕 can come too but they stay outside. Staff are great. Will definitely visit again.

Saturday morning breakfast began with a flat white and chai latte - service was quick and beverages flavoursome. We ordered the “crunchie” waffle and croquettes and bacon. Both dishes were delicious. The waffles were soft on the inside and came with a side of organic maple syrup - which in our books, an excellent option! Overall the dish was well balanced and a great eat. The croquettes and bacon were a surprise to eat. Crispy, yummy, cheesy croquettes and a slice of extra crispy bacon with a delicious thick cut of strip bacon beneath. The poached egg was cooked perfectly and the additional sauces and pickles made the dish. Well worth the order. Staff were very friendly and service was quick - admittedly it was around 9am, so timing may be a factor. Though certainly no complaint from us.
For those needing access, there is a ramp (which I didn’t notice initially!)
The atmosphere was warm and inviting and very boho / eclectic.
Definitely plan to return.

thought the chips in the cheeseburger would be a bit thicker and more substantial than the thin strips lol but the cheeseburger looked juicy and loaded ahah

Some huge meals here at the Box Office - absolutely scrumptious too! The place is licenced so a beer or wine with lunch is definitely on the cards. The vibe is very relaxed with multiple seating spaces meaning it can suit private meetings, large groups or family get togethers. If big brekkies are your jam, get yourself to Box Office!

Do yourself a favor and go here! It’s so yummy and the staff are lovely and helpful. We had the cod croquettes (chefs speciality) I was a little worried as I’m not a big fish fan - they were AMAZING! And the desserts… wow! The brownie was so decadent and GF. The plum pudding was devine. Will definitely return soon.

Really great vibes since you enter the place. Perfect to chat, enjoy delicious and unique food, cocktails are to die for and the service is extra friendly! It’s what you’re looking for if you wanna have drinks in a relaxing place. They also have board games, they are pet friendly and all the drinks and food are locally sourced 👌🏻 10/10

Do yourself a favor and visit this lovely restaurant in Geelong West. The service is unmatched, staff truly cares about your experience. As for the ambiance is very welcoming and charming. The food is absolutely amazing – everything we tasted melted in other mouths. Absolutely the best cheese plater we had in a while and top end wine with great craft beers. Highly recommend!

I stumbled across this restaurant by accident. It is just off Pakington street and poorly signed but I just happened to notice a tiny sign that said coffee, so in I went. The coffee was delicious. However, the cup I received for water was dirty, so I asked for another cup, which happened to be rusted on the bottom. The saucer to my coffee was also dirty. It is definitely time they change their cups and maybe look into their general hygiene. Nevertheless, I thought I shouldn't judge the place too harshly before trying the food. So I ordered the beef brisket burger, which was quite expensive ($22.50) considering it did not come with chips. But was it worth it? Yes. It was delicious. It came on a flaky butter bun that was scrumptious. It had house made pickles that really elevated the flavour. Overall, it was something special as far as burgers are concerned. For that reason, I recommend Box Office. While it may be a bit rough around the edges, the flavours are worth the stop.

Little gem found on Pako street. It’s got a subtle rustic outdoorsy interior vibe, with plenty indoor and outdoor seating areas. The food price is justifiable and portions are good. Our table had smashed guac, salmon eggs benedict, and bacon eggs benedict. They also had a wide variety of local wine selections that fills up 2 large shelves. Deffo a good find in Geelong.

Absolutely destroyed the slices which are all vegan before I could took a pic! raspberry cheesecake and matcha mint was delicious af! Highly recommend <3

Smashed peas were also very yummy!!! Love the outdoor seating ah fresh sun lol friendly service, highly recommend :)

Visited yesterday for the first time and what a great experience it was. Staff were friendly and chill. Great menu selection. I had the salmon benedict and it was delicious. Coffee was great too. They use Axil Coffee Roasters. Venue was pram friendly with a ramp to gain access in and it was easy to have my little one sitting right next to my table. Parking available right out the front on the street or parking lot right beside for 2 hours during the week. Definitely will be back and recommending to our friends and family.

Wonderful service, the waitstaff us super nice. Good coffee and my toast with mushroom, hollandaise sauce and avo was delicious ! You can find Vegan options on the menu. Grab a Gluten free muffin glaze nut and choc, it was delightful,Love place’s atmosphere.

Want an awesome place to have an awesome feed? Then Box Office is your place. Recommend. Didn't even get to take a photo of my lunch as I was too focused on eating it.

This place is awesome. Great atmosphere, excellent staff, outstanding staff and a good, diverse selection of meals.

There is plenty of options for most types of meals (vegetarian, vegan, GF) and a nice mix of breakfast, brunch and lunchtime options.

Once the new deck is finished, this place will be even more of a gem. Highly recommended!

Early morning start arriving off the Spirit of Tasmania - thankful this place was open! What a little gem ⭐ Coffee and croissant to start the day, with a long drive ahead. Friendly down to earth service was a breath of fresh air 💫🙏🏽💛
