Arilla

An hours drive from Melbourne city. Food is very fresh and creative. Love the pork belly that was crackling and sweet.

Worth the destination to be. Of course do go there as well for other reasons. We went to the nearby Alpaca farm.

Top-class food and service. What a find! Just exquisite. I shall definitely be returning to try other meals on the menu.

UPDATE (3rd December 2023)
Returned for my second visit. Very happy to confirm my experience was as great as last time. New menu times too which is always good to see from a restaurant. Food is incredible and the service top-notch.

The food was great. Staff very friendly and helpful. Atmosphere also great. The view from the windows of the horses jumping was fantastic even though it rained. All in all a wonderful day. I'm sure everyone enjoyed the day.

A must go for dining - we had an exquisite dinner, including the cocktails (you have to try their Comos) coupled with professional and such friendly service. You will feel welcome from entering the restaurant and will leave wanting to high five the chef and team at Arilla. Massive shout out to Novi who looked after us and Chris for his amazing bar skills!

I haven’t got the chance to try the food. We were late and they were about to close. However, Jason at the bar was very nice and welcoming and really made me determined to come back. I always appreciate a welcoming host. Hats off for you Jason.

Forgot to take a pic of the Porterhouse from the lunch special but one of the best steak ever! Cooked to perfection (med-rare), with a char on the outside giving the smokey taste. Served with truffle mash and roasted garlic. Beside the food, you can enjoy the Equestrian ridings around the restaurant

Amazing place for dining. We had such a good time, the food there is an experience. Friendly and helpful staff as well and a relaxing space.

Arilla is a hidden gem. The food here was first class and the setting is lovely. Looking out over equestrian fields and lovely paddocks. The actual restaurant itself is also fabulous with a lovely fireplace and large windows all around. We absolutely loved the croquettes, the crab tacos and the pulled pork sliders. We will be back. Highly recommended.

This place is amazing. The food was 10/10 and the service was even better. The staff went above and beyond to ensure me and my partner had an amazing dinner experience. Going for dinner at 5:30-6 is early but I totally recommend it so you can still see the beautiful views and catch the sunset. If theres anywhere you need to go when up at the peninsula, its here.

Very well set out and inviting restaurant. Staff are friendly and attentive. We will be back during the day for the amazing view too.

Had a nice lunch with friends here. Enjoyed the wine and steak and fish. Service is good dishes are amazing. Except the steak is a bit burnt.. lol

Very relaxing location

The location is splendid if you are already in the Portsea area :).
The service was delightful, very attentive and helpful.
The meal sizes were very much as described by the hostess and they delivered on taste.
In my view it was very much value for money, we had a lovely sunset dinner and I would definitely return if I am in the area.
My advise would be to make a day trip out of it with a friend / partner.

We went for lunch on quiet Thursday (it was my birthday).
It wasn't busy but still a nice atmosphere. Food and service excellent. It was our second time dining in Arilla, and for sure, not the last one. Highly recommended.

Stopped for a quick casual lunch and enjoyed a wonderful meal. Beautiful surroundings and environment. Every dish we had was delicious, the service was friendly and efficient. Definitely 5 stars.

Came here for lunch today and left very full and happy!
The woman looking after us was polite, friendly and very attenative. Food was amazing, we had the lamb slider, scallops, pork belly and beef gnocci ragu. All extreamly tastey and well cooked. Honesty couldn't fault the place, 10/10

Really enjoyed the food in a beautiful atmosphere with great staff.

Great food. Quite pricey, but worth it to come here for an occasional treat. Interesting surrounds in the middle of an equestrian centre, so you have close up views of beautiful horses doing show jumping. Well worth coming at least once, the staff are lovely and the food is delicious.
