Castle Motel

Stayed for a week from 27/12/23-02/01/24 and enjoyed it. Peaceful and clean. Beds are comfy, shower is red hot straight away and with great water pressure. I didn't use the pool but noticed others using it daily and having fun, so it must not be bad. The owner was very nice asking if everything was ok and if we needed anything if he saw us.

A very good budget motel. Perfect for my needs for a one night say.

This place was great for a one night stay with my teenage children . They were really accomodating and managed to add an extra bed to the room so all 5 of us could fit in. Simple, clean rooms with electric blankets (yay - needed in Castlemaine in Winter !). Possibly the greatest shower we’ve ever had - not joking . It was amazing…. Happy to stay again. Simple , clean, family accom in a good position.

Quiet, dark at night, spotlessly clean, conveniently close to town, perfect for a long weekend stay.

The family run Castle is a gem amongst roadside motels. It is fresh, recently refurbished, with good sized rooms, comfortable beds, great hot water and a lovely garden area.
The owners take a lot of pride in maintenance and guest comfort, and the housekeeping staff are also friendly and helpful.
I had a lovely comfortable four night stay here and recommend it for a Castlemaine break.

Great place to stay. Lovely owners/staff. Short walk to town, so close to everything.
It had all the usual motel requirements including a toaster and microwave. Very clean and tidy.
If I have to find a little issue, it is that the room door (room 1) did not seal too well. Not a big issue at this time of year (heading into Summer), but could be draughty in Winter. Have stayed before, will stay again.

The room was very clean. The bathroom was modern and had a great shower. Good value.

My son and I stayed at the Castle motel for 1 night during the school holidays. The location - Right on the highway just a short walk from the town centre. Parking - On-site outside our room. Security - Good lighting all night. The room - Spotlessly clean and in excellent condition with 2 beds and plenty of space. The room has - Very comfortable beds, electric blankets, microwave oven, kettle, toaster, fridge (bigger then a bar size), reverse cycle air-conditioning, hair dryer, decent size digital TV, phone, extra pillows, plenty of good quality hangers, and a generous helping of tea, coffee and biscuits. Outdoors - A good sized pool with a spa. The owners - Very good customer service and friendly people. Information available - Comprehensive and informative in relation to places to eat, tourist attractions and safety. Conclusion - A great motel for a family group or people on business. I recommend it highly. 10/10. This was our second visit and we wouldn't stay anywhere else.

Brilliant! Sunny , the manager I believe, was the most lovely, friendly man. The room was spotlessly clean, pool was an added bonus. We would return tomorrow if we didn't have to go back to work. We have never had a more relaxed stay at a motel thank you Sunny and team Julie and Stephen

The young lady at reception was very welcoming. Room was lovely and clean. Bed was very comfortable. Will definitely be back.

We were very happy with the accommodation and service. We felt it was value for money as the room was well presented and very clean and comfortable. Very friendly family running the motel who made our stay pleasant. we will defiantly stay there again whenever we visit Castlemain.

We just stopped in here to sleep. We judged the appearance from the outside. Nice, clean, modern rooms inside and the owner booked us in around 8pm.

Super clean rooms, super friendly staff. Will definitely be back. Highly recommend.

Well managed by Sonny & his family all very helpful courteous. Clean cosy & bright rooms. Great location to visit Bendigo, Maldon, Maryborough, Daylesford etc.
Easy walk to Castlemaine eateries. Good value & nice pool a bonus. Will stay here again.

Second time I have stayed here, this time there is a new owner who is absolutely delightful, Harry was so obliging and nothing was too much trouble for him. Very clean rooms, magnificent breakfast (couldn't eat any lunch) very clean pool, can't wait to get back. Thank you.
