The most incredible hidden gem I have found recently. Wow. From the moment we drove into the beautiful driveway surrounded by a lush garden scape all the way to when we walked in to the sun drenched, cozy, space, I was blown away. The lovely ladies who run this tea room are such beautiful souls and they really make the place extra special. The scones with DELICIOUS cream and jam were the best I have ever had - I am going back next weekend!! I’m sad that they close for winter until September because this place would be perfect for winter scones by the fireplace! The entire garden is so beautiful too with such wonderful autumn colours still on display. HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND. Cash only

A delightful little gem, with lovely gardens and delicious cream teas.

We arrived for lunch and asked for menus. It turned out there were only two things on the menu: soup and rolls or cream teas. We ordered both. They were delicious, especially the jam with the teas.

The only thing to decide was did you eat it the Devon way (cream first) or Cornish (jam first). Being lovers of North Cornwall the answer was clear.

Finally you can try and walk off the feast strolling around the lovely, historic gardens.

Overall a real hidden diamond.

Fresh scones, home made jam, real cream and a tea blend that is easy to drink. Lovely place to spend time chatting whilst the kids played on the lawn with the resident dog. Stroll through the gardens and discover little hidden gems of flowers and resting places. Worth travelling to on your next visit to the Yarra Valley. Great service as well

Jan is a wonderful host. The property has beautiful gardens and the food is great. Call first to make a booking and plan your day. There's a lot to do and see in the area, including the Kiwi Fruit Winery, which is close by, the townships of Yarra Glenn, and Kinglake, the Yarra Valley Chocolaterie, Gulf Station and the many wineries along the Melba Highway 🙂.

Home-made berry jam with large fresh scones, cream and tea in a plain aluminium teapot... made special by the hand-knitted decorative tea cosies!

You go in hungry and go out full... and that's just with two scones.

The owner Jan is very friendly and fun to talk to. The gardens are delightful. This was the home of C.J. Dennis and there's plenty of poetry to look at if you're that way inclined.

Had a lovely family 60th for my sister, Jan made us awesome soft puffy crumbly scones with homemade jam and whipped cream. Tea in pots covered in cosies or hot chocolates with marshmallows. Spent time in the surrounding gardens under cafe supplied rainbow umbrellas. We will be back to enjoy nature and scones

One of the nicest teahouses in Australia. The scones are soft on the inside and nicely crisp on the outside. The home made rasberry and apple jam and clotted cream and the well brewed tea was sublime. This is the third time we have had tea here and it has always delighted.

What wonderful hosts! Lovely hot buns served with a Devine roast for lunch. We arrived on horses and just tied them up the front. Lovely garden surrounds a homely house with a traditional lunch setting. What a find!

Wonderful find on a wintry weekend. Wood fired heaters; home-made, straight out of the oven scones; and tea-cosy covered teapots make this the ideal spot to stop during a trip to the Yarra Valley.
The gardens are a delight as well and must be stunning in summer.

This is a great stop and worth visiting if you are anywhere near Healesville. Absolutely fantastic homemade scones and jam.

Lovely friendly service with tasty, homemade hearty food. Veggie soup and roast, with tea served in teapot with tea cosie. It was lovely and relaxing in a beautiful setting.
