Old Salty's

This is what fish and chips should be. Good, tasty, well cooked, reasonably priced, and good service. The shop is rustic, this is true, but its the ambiance that's great.

Called up for a late dinner order which was ready in under 15 mins. Chips were crispy and the crumbed cod was fresh and delicious, will be coming back for sure.

I don't usually review so that's how you know it's good in quality. It has great serving sizes, great quality food, great customer support, and there are honestly no downsides to this place, except for the occasional delay when you order sometimes, which is usually expected. No fish and chips place has gotten close to the quality of food here in my opinion, and it is a must-have, if you want to go to a fish and chips place.

Great fish and chips! Crumbled barramundi that is crispy outside and soft inside. Nice calamari,fried pineapple and most of all, huge servings of chips at excellent prices. All food melt in mouth. Will come to this place again. Top quality stuff.

Amazing customer service and the 3 times I've gotten good here it has been next level if your in the area and in need of fish and chips especially whiting... stop in you won't be disappointed!!!!

Excellent fish and chips! The fish was delicious, the calamari was tender, and we had a very generous serving of chips. Great value, highly recommended.

ahhh don't even get me started. The chips are just unbelievable, it is the best thing since sliced bread. "nice chips. nice drinks. nice people" a quote from rising star of Marist College Ashgrove Henry Thomasson, has really hit the nail on the head. Whilst others describe the chips as elite, I would describe them as mouthwatering, game changing and scrumptious. Not going to lie never really had the fish as the awesome chip serving always hit the spot. There is nothing more wholesome than getting two servings of chips and a cheap 1.25L soft drink and demolishing it with the guys. If Darryl Kerrigan was to sit down and eat at Old Salty's he would definitely say "ahh the serenity."

Oh how I crave for fish ‘n chips:
Our fine cuisine of world renown.
I dined on such a subtle dish
When QEII received her crown.

Oh how I need some fish ‘n chips;
I'll queue in pouring rain or snow!
What better way to warm my hands,
As soggy chips make fingers glow.

We Brits are famed for culinary finesse,
Like steak ‘n kidney pud no less;
Wondrous tripe; cottage pie;
Bangers and egg in lard to fry!

But fish ‘n chips - the crowning glory -
A dish to trounce the great kebab!
You think I care for chicken masala?
It's cod and chips that grow my flab.

Oh how I yearn for fish ‘n chips,
All poshly wrapped in the Daily Star,
Then caked and drowned in salt ‘n vinegar -
And stinking out my brand new car!

The service at the restaurant was fantastic because they got to me straight away. Additionally, the quality of the food and presentation was good because they were golden brown with crisp. The location of the restaurant is easy and good to get to.

Good, fresh, carefully prepared fish and prawns. It's nice to find a place where the owner is genuinely proud of what he does. Just F&C. No burgers, sandwiches or pies!

Staff were great and some of the best fish and chips around town. Parking was easy and overall great stuff from Old Salty's. Will be returning a lot.
