Osaka Japanese Dining Bar

Pleasantly surprised just how good this was. The service staff are pleasant and friendly and Korean (we think), which is ironic but somewhat normal these days. We ordered two dinner Bento Boxes, one beef and one chicken. These were honestly, quite exceptional! The tempura was some of the best I’ve ever had in Australia and I ate it alot Living in Japan, so I was delighted by the refreshing Ponzu dipping sauce that came with it as well. The sushi was freshly made and a lot of care had been taken to ensure it looked appetising as well. The teriyaki meats were cooked perfectly and we really appreciated the vegetables and salad as well. Wasn’t a fan of the miso soup but that didn’t distract from how good the rest of the meal was. The restaurant was clean, tables were well spaced and decor was pleasing. They were also accommodating with our request of 2 high chairs for our young children which we greatly appreciated.
Definitely would recommend to anyone looking for a really good Japanese dining experience.

Friendly staff, fantastic service! Really good quality food. We ordered eel with rice and salad, great ratio of everything. Eel was the best ever. We also ordered sashimi and rolls. We love them all, will definitely come back!

Had dinner which was amazing! Everything was prompt and tasted fantastic. Jeff and the team were very welcoming and displayed great hospitality. We will definitely be coming back again. I would recommend the tampura vegetarian curry was the best I've had.

After having different curries and sushi from multiple nearby suburbs, I can safely say that this is the best Japanese in our area. The service is phenomenal, and the quality of food is exceptional. I keep coming back time and time again and I will continue doing so for a long time.

The katsu and karage curry were great! Lovely, friendly service and a quick order time. We thought value for money was good, too. This is a good quality staple take away option for us.

Fresh quality Japanese cuisine. Very delicious! From sushi to curries. Clean and friendly establishment. Little bit of a wait for food but definetly worth it! Highly recommend!

OK so you know how it’s impossible to tell if that low profile surburban hole-in-the-wall restaurant is any good?

This one is.

Confession number one: We booked here by mistake. Thought we booked somewhere a couple of suburbs over. When we realised, we drove to honour the booking and try something new.

Confession number two: I’m sick of Westernised Japanese and bad sushi hidden under way too much mayo. So finding somewhere with authentic Japanese offerings is a blessing.

We ordered a range of the standard repertoire of Japanese Izakaya food and it was all excellent.
Prices were very reasonable for the quality and portion size.

Stand outs were …everything we ordered. Honestly. Takoyaki, sashimi, edamame, Gyoza, miso, bento meals, udon, spicy calamari roll, kastsudon.

If they had nasu (eggplant) on the menu I’d have loved to try as I’m still waiting to try a good one in Australia. Everything else was just amazingly good.

Ordered a takeaway over the phone for the family, and had an absolute feast! Food was presented nicely in the takeaway containers with some parsley garnish, was hot and fresh, reasonably priced, and tasted amazing. In particular, the Osaka Tempura Vegetable and Prawn Mix was absolutely delicious. The staff are all super friendly. Will definitely be back!

Always a lovely atmosphere with friendly staff and service. The food is excellent and reasonably priced - I always try to pick something up after a long day of work when i can.

This place is great. Super friendly staff who even bring your takeaway order to your car if you have fifty million kids like I do. The food is fresh, delishious and affordable.

Stopped in here for lunch and purchased the chicken katsu curry. Was cooked very well and full of flavor and is authentic. Would highly recommend to others who like Japanese style food.

Great, fresh sushi at a quality above most. I frequent sushi restaurants regularly, but I don't regularly go to different places given the high standards of my usual haunts. After trying Osaka on a weekend I loved to fresh sashimi which was a cut above the rest.

Dined here many times. Delicious food, good range of alcoholic and soft drinks. Pleasant decor. Food service is usually fast. Smiling staff. Good place for a relaxed meal.
