The brie on toast and farmhouse breakfast were unique and delicious. Chocolate eggs are served with your coffee as a nice little complimentary delicious surprise. They have a variety of unique chocolates to takeaway. Great customer service. Highly recommend this place as it is one of the better places to go for breakfast and chocolate in Tassy !

Had an excellent breakfast there, hot chocolate, chocolate and lots of delicious cheeses! Everything was brilliant, including the staff, the guinee pig and the goat :)

My partner and I are from Melbourne and had a little holiday down at Tassie. We were fortunate enough to be staying just around the corner from this amazing restaurant, which means we were there nearly every day!

We tried all their cheeses from their range and had to say their ash log was by far our favourite!
And don't get us started on their chocolate collection... The best we have ever had! We made sure to take some back home to share with our family.

The team were all amazing, so sweet and attentive especially Chilli the goat!

We will definitely be coming back when we are down at Tassie for more!

You won't regret a visit to Coal River Farm . If you can't get there, you can buy their cheese at Salamanca Market.

The high cheese was bloody excellent. Took my partner here for her birthday, she was stoked.

Best hot chocolates in Tasmania hands down. Sticky date pudding was delicious, and the staff are very, very lovely. Highly recommend go anyone visiting.

The food was so good- cheese was fresh, chocolates were to die for. Views were excellent as well!

This place was very cool. We spent the afternoon wandering around the fruit trees and seeing the resident goat before watching some chocolate being made and trying some for ourselves. It was a nice place to get a sweet gift for friends and family. The staff were friendly despite being swamped by customers non-stop the whole time we were there and having a function on.

Had a wonderful experience at the Coal River Farm. We had the High Cheese and it was so filling, the cheeses and chocolates were delicious. We enjoyed the afternoon here with a wine and live music.

The food at coal river farm was amazing! We stopped here expecting some small cheese tasting (which they didn't have, but they had a ton of cheeses to buy) but got this amazing lunch. We had a pie with garlic feta and mushroom, foccacia with olive oil and balsamic, and this sensational honey crumbed brie. All the food was excellent.

Amazing, very nice view, had the "high cheese" which let's you choose the cheeses and chocolates you want loved that. The apple paste to go with it was great, tried to buy some in the shop but they were not currently in stock. Would definitely go again!

Cheese was great. We had 7 to enjoy, but their chocolates were the best we had in Tassie. Need to go see them while in Hobart.

Went here over Easter with my family and some friends. Fantastic experience. The staff were lovely. The food portions were generous and well put together. Great food quality. The kids also loved playing outside on the beanbags and with the sheep. Overall a nice day out and would highly recommend. Also the pinot. Delicious pinot. Thanks team - Diego.

We stopped for a cheese tasting platter and hot chocolate (had already had our morning coffee) and both were absolutely great! Best hot chocolate and the platter with two cheeses and crackers (one of us needed gluten free, not a problem) and it was great value. We were given a doggy bag to enjoy later what we couldn't eat then.
Great stop.

Visited Coal River Farm today and had a wonderful experience. The cheese platters are such a reasonable price and DELICIOUS. The lady serving me was so lovely and definitely gave me a memorable experience. Thank you! I’ll be recommending this place to others visiting Hobart 🙂

Chocolates - all excellent especially the honeycomb, coffee beans - great flavour, cheese - very tasty. Food, atmosphere excellent - definitely recommend!

So happy we decided to go here for lunch, friends had the high cheese and there was enough left over for another meal. We had the ploughman's, very tasty and delicious. Chocolate was amazing!

Stunning business and experience! I had one of their special hot chocolates which was insanely delicious! It also came with two of their bonbon chocolates which were impeccable examples of the product 👌 Gorgeous fillings perfectly encased in stunning chocolate, all the flavours perfectly balancing and complimenting each other! The mandarin flavour really surprised me, absolutely stunning and a perfect balance of flavours and textures! The staff were absolutely stunning and passionate! An amazing experience all round!

Lovely Saturday arvo session, great spot with great wine and lovely food selection.
Only suggestion is to add lavosh crackers to the ploughmans plate, while the house made bread was lovely, I think a few lavosh would compliment it well.
Staff are always lovely.
