Daintree Secrets Rainforest Sanctuary

We loved our stay at Daintree Secrets. The house was spacious and easily accommodated two families. It had everything you could need. Our two boys loved swimming in the swimming hole out the back. The resident turtle and eels were a highlight, and we used the spotlights provided to find them every night. Beautiful setting and we will definitely be back to Daintree Secrets.

Daintree Secrets is simply magic! A beautiful property in rainforest with its own private waterfall, swimming holes and many fascinating flora and fauna to observe. The house itself is comfortable and had everything we could need. The hot water and power worked well, and it was very relaxing to be disconnected from phones/internet! All the sights of the daintree rainforest were within driving distance, but we were also happy to just relax in the bean bags by the creek. Highly recommend this beautiful Sanctuary to everyone, you won't be disappointed!!

It is difficult to convey just how beautiful and exceptional Daintree Secrets is. The property is absolutely magical, one is truly immersed in the Daintree Rainforest. Daintree Secrets is a unique and special spot---surrounded by a private waterfall and swimming hole, rainforest, animals, birds, butterflies and fresh air!!! The home itself is magnificent and supplies guests with everything they could possibly need. Simply put---Daintree Secrets provides the absolute best rainforest experience. Just go and enjoy the peace, beauty and tranquility of this remarkable place.

What an amazing little secret this place is! From the moment you arrive you know you are somewhere special - you are completely surrounded by natures beauty. Everything from the private beautiful swimming hole and waterfall right at the front door, to the spectacular blue of the Ulysses butterflies and other abundant wildlife, helps you leave the modern world behind. The house is well equipped with absolutely everything you need, there is a spacious deck to chill out on and lots of little private spots to escape to and breathe it all in. The hosts have thought of everything and obviously have their guests comfort and enjoyment as a top priority. If you're looking for a totally relaxing 'escape from reality' type of getaway, this is the place for you! We highly recommend and will definitely return.

What an amazing property. We were absolutely mesmerised as soon as we arrived. The sound of the waterfalls (plural!) was so relaxing and we were so shocked with delight to see how stunning the backyard was - rockpools, numerous water holes to swim around in. The house itself was perfect, everything we needed and more, and the beds were very comfortable. We can't wait to come back and visit again for much longer this time. See you soon <3

A beautiful property, well appointed with amazing rain forest and a small waterfall flowing into a beautiful, natural rock swimming hole. Amazing feeling sitting on the verandah with this surrounding us whilst we relaxed, dined. A well stocked kitchen complemented the provisions we had purchased, so no need to bring condiments, sauces, and so on. Beds were spacious and comfy as well. We enjoyed our stay and the proximity to the ocean and many board walks.

Wonderful place to stay. A real oasis in the middle of the daintree! Host was great, providing lots of useful information about the house and local area as well. House was clean, well maintained and had everything we needed. The highlights were really the outdoor spaces! Will definitely be going back.

I wish I could give Daintree Secrets more than five stars. I have stayed here several times over the last few years and it's hard to think of a more magical spot.
The house is a spacious welcoming place that is nestled deep in the Daintree National park. One thing that really sets it apart from other places to stay in the area is the picturesque private natural Creek/pool which is just outside the front door.
The house has all the amenities that you could need and is powered by hydroelectricity so you get a true sense of being disconnected from the outside world (in the best way possible)
I've made many amazing memories staying here: swimming every day, exploring the rainforest, seeing all the various birds that come to visit.
Daintree Secrets is a sanctuary in one of the most special places on this planet.

I have stayed here three times now and it has always been excellent. The facilities and accomodation itself has continued to improve - this trip I saw a larger, extended deck, an awesome new kitchen and much new furniture. We had no power issues as there is now solar as well as hydro. The manager was very easy to communicate with about our booking, everything was straight-forward. BUT THE REAL REASON you should check this place out is the NATURAL BEAUTY! It is the incredible deep, cool private swimming hole with your own little waterfall that always draws me back. Rain or shine, you won't want to leave. I love spotting the beautiful Ulysses butterfly and exploring down the creek. Highly recommend to everyone - the perfect getaway. I prefer going as a romantic retreat, but if you can get a group together (large enough for a couple families) then it'd be great value for money.

Wow, what an amazing place to stay in the Daintree… it took our breath away on arrival!
Situated deep in the Daintree National Park, we had a wonderful time enjoying the serenity and peace, listening to the rainforest sounds and waterfall.
With only 2 of us in this spacious paradise we had a romantic escape from the modern world without internet or mobile reception to disturb us.
Very private, with expansive open verandah overlooking the lush tropical rainforest, waterfall and swimming hole. There had been very little rain for some months when we stayed at the beginning of December, however the waterfall continued to flow, and the swimming hole was still deep enough to jump in!
The entire house is yours to enjoy with no neighbours visible. It’s very well equipped including full sized oven, huge fridge / freezer with ice maker in the door, laundry facilities and generous pantry supplies.
The driveway was pretty steep but fully sealed all the way down and didn’t cause us any issues with our small 2wd car. The top bedroom was a little warm at this time of year and as it’s off the grid, understandably air-conditioning is not available, but we found the fans were sufficient to keep us cool.
We booked directly with Katherine who provided us with detailed information about the location including nearby restaurants and attractions to visit in the area, as well as clear directions to the property which were easy to follow.
For nature lovers that enjoy their privacy, Daintree Secrets offers an unforgettable experience in the most stunning setting that allows you to escape from the hustle and bustle of modern life, leaving you with a feeling of tranquillity and inner peace.
We highly recommend this special spot in the wilderness and will definitely return. Katherine, thanks for sharing this magical place with us!

Our own perfect piece of paradise for 3 idyllic days. We loved the private and peaceful setting, the rock pools , the wildlife(especially the resident turtle) and the rainforest surrounds. The accommodation was lovely, clean and well fitted out with everything you could possibly need. If you want a getaway to a private. ‘back to nature’ hideaway, this is definitely the place.

Extremely impressed with the set up, everything you could possibly require has been thought of, has definately had plenty of time put into ensuring guests will be comfortable.
The only downside I can think of, is the next door neighbours dog barking occasionally, scaring off any potential sightings of cassowaries. I wouldn't have thought dogs would be allowed in a grade 3 world heritage-listed area.
The house and swimming hole as a whole is absolute paradise and would recommend that everyone has to put it on their bucket list.

Wow I’ve needed 24hrs to come down from my Daintree wilderness high!!! And to be able to put into words how magical this place is. You know this already, however to share it and allow others to connect with nature and it’s magic is so wonderful. I just breath in the air and feel like I’m home, the forest so ancient and yet so full of life! I wish we didn’t have to leave. We are forever grateful for this magical time away.

We had booked to stay at Daintree Secrets but due to unforeseen circumstances were unable to travel. Throughout the booking and cancellation process Katherine was friendly, polite and helpful. She went out of her way to ensure we received a full refund. We will make sure we stay at Daintree Secrets when we next head north.

I have travelled extensively both domestically and internationally and each time I arrive at "Secrets" I pinch myself as I appreciate how lucky we are to live in such a beautiful part of the world. You will search far and wide to find a more beautiful, unique tranquil setting. I have just returned from my 6th stay having shared previous stays with different friends and family. On this occasion my niece and her partner from Brisbane flew up to join us. They were absolutely delighted and can't wait to return. Thank you Kathrine for continuing to share "Secrets".

We have just returned home from a week here, It was terrific.
A true paradise.
The house is well equipped and we had no issues with anything at all. Katherine has supplied everything for our stay - Just add people, drinks and food. We bought the majority of food and drink in Mossman and topped up from the local mini store.
The location is totally private and quiet (apart from the sounds of the stream and wildlife).
There were four of us (Mum, Dad, and our two adult children).
Katherine supplied so much relevant, meaningful and interesting information and tips about the house and local area. READ IT it is a comprehensive compendium and will make your stay perfect!
We ate at each of Katherines recommendations and loved all the food (and ice creams). "Lync Haven" and "On the Turps" were the best but all the suggestion are very good - It's a hard choice so, we went to all of them.
There is no TV reception at all nor any internet or mobile coverage in the house. There's a TV and DVD player and a wide selection of movies or BYO.
The dress standard (for restaurants) is very easy to accommodate because it is so relaxed, do not dress up - its not required.
If there's any item at all that needs expert assistance - There's a land-line phone and a list of local contact numbers for support.
Life's too short to be angry so, stay calm and just love it! You're on an "off the grid" holiday with hot and cold running everything. Enjoy this unspoiled natural part of your world.

Dreamy Place! Such a unique experience, it was absolutely beautiful. Spacious kitchen, perfect to dine in and look at the beautiful views the forest has to offer!

This property is amazing! The view of the private secluded waterfalls/ creek from the balcony is so inviting - we spent most of our time relaxing by the water. Beautiful clean house. I highly recommend an escape to the Daintree Rainforest to disconect from the world for a few days! (3+ nights is highly recommended!)

This is truly a piece of paradise. We felt so relaxed and at peace here. Four nights wasn't nearly enough. Katherine was a wonderful host, the swimming hole is magic and the house has everything you could need.
