Platypus Park

Wow what an awesome little park & rest area 👌👌👌

Excellent spot for families to enjoy a picnic while watching the turtle's, roosters, guinea fowl, chooks etc all roaming freely around. A great man made waterfall, beautiful rainforest walk and playthings.

Didn't see any platapussies but plenty of roosters that keep an eye on you.. 😄

Have stopped by a few times...never when the Cafe is open but will have to keep trying. Lovely place to stop and look around. If you have your own food also facilities to stop and eat overlooking the lake area.

This is our go to when we're in Atherton it has a fully fenced BQ area & playground and dog friendly , a great easy walking track circuit , the wildlife are awesome scrub turkies, water dragons , turtles , and a few domestic roosters and ducks , very relaxing listening to the waterfall , enjoyable stopover to enjoy 🌞

Nice walking track along the old train line. Terrific cafe with coffee and great eats if you are hungry.

We didn't see any platypus unfortunately but worth checking out if en route. There are toilet facilities as well as an undercover area.

Great little spot to see some platypus if your are lucky.

I have been going there for many years. I use to take my late Aunty there , we use to have our lunch each time we were in Atherton.

Lovely place to take the family for a look at the turtles and ducks there is a lookout on the top for safety

Excellent park. Shaded play equipment, BBQ, covered table and chairs. Plenty wildlife (ducks, turtles, turkeys etc.) Cafe nearby. Nice little walk around the waters edge.

Great place for a coffee

Platapus Park is just the place if you are looking for a bit of peace and quiet for lunch or coffee from the railway coffee shop you can watch the ducks swimming it also has scrub turkeys roosters chickens and a nice little bushy trail to walk the dog plus a playground for the kids to play.

Beautiful place, shame people don't always keep it that way with rubbish. Although I picked It up. Great coffee at the Cafe.

Awesome information about platypus and spiders! The platypus we spotted were very cute! I like that they are in their own wild environment and not being annoyed by people in a zoo.

Such a beautiful little cafe with delicious options for lunch and an awesome fully gated playground for the kids. You can even sit in an old train carriage to eat!
