This place is just amazing. We came here by coincidence. We couldn't find a place to stay after 6pm. This was a 20min drive luckily the lady pickedup the phone. There was a spot available.
When we came there the owner was feeding some animals possums and pademelons. We were also able to feed the animals. He seems to do this every night. He also gave some information where to find tree kangaroo's and all that.
+ Really kind owners they make you both feel welcome
+ Toilet/shower/kitchen/laundry are clean
+ Power and unpowered sites. You got plenty of space.
+ There's a nice walk from the campground to the river to see some platypus.
+ Its just an awesome farmstay 👍🏻

Great place to stay here. We stayed here for 2 days during our 2 weeks trip around Cairns. They have excellent and well organized facilities including kitchen, hot showers and spacious camping grounds. In the kitchen are, there is the feeding table where we can meet animals.

Excellent value for money. We (my boyfriend and I) originally booked for two nights but ended up extending by an extra two. We were given a very warm welcome and found a good spot at the very well organised site. All individual sites are close to amenities and there are two big barns, one with a big communal firepit and one with an open wall backing out onto the forest. Even better was the wildlife feeding that Ron does every evening and there were loads of possums, pademelons and wallabies!! Ron is so personable and really gets the kids involved, it’s great to see as everyone learns to much by seeing the animals up close. As well as this awesome wildlife experience, there is a lovely walking track down to the river, where we saw lots of platypus! It was such a great experience and one of the best we’ve had in our time travelling up the east coast. The facilities were always clean and there was a great atmosphere across the camp - we got chatting with lots of other campers! If you’re planning to stay the area, this is not to be missed!

I had heard from other travellers about how good Bonadio's is. However, it is better than that! A well maintained site with good amenities set in pristine rainforest. Access to the creek is magnificent and I saw platypus on numerous occasions. This is one of the best parks in Australia.

Loved our stay here! Booked for 2 nights, stayed for 6! Lovely big shaded sites with power & water, or option to go unpowered as well.
2 amenities blocks were always spotless & laundry was excellent too.
We spent a lot of time in the large camp kitchen area doing home school work as well as feeding the resident possums & pademellon.
Take a stroll along the river to see platypus & even more pademellon.
Large communal fire place was great to sit around and chat to fellow travelers.
Easy day trips to Lake Eacham, or Youngaburra.
Highly recommend this place, we will definitely be back one day!

Lovely quiet campground that feels a lot nicer than traditional caravan parks. Beautiful walks and platypus almost guaranteed to be seen at the river.

Great camping spot run by a farming family. More similar to free camping then a caravan park but with a small fee. Power and non powered sites. Only one good clean shower block with one shower. And yes you can see platypus in the nearby river.

We love staying here. Yesterday was our 3rd time and definitely not our last. It's so peaceful, the staff are friendly, we ALWAYS see at least 1 platypus and the scenery around the property is spectacular. If you haven't been to Bonadio before, you should make it make it your next place to stay, when you're up on the Atherton Tablelands. It's well worth staying.
