On my way to Brisbane, I took a break at Childers to have lunch. After exploring few places, I ordered my vegetarian lunch from here. To my surprise, it was best sandwich I had ever. I would definitely recommend this place for vegetarian (or vegan) friendly food.

Superb! Beautiful cafe serving amazing breakfast. Staff were super friendly. Lovely atmosphere inside with heaps of seating and a few chairs outside if you want to soak up the Childers sunshine. Coffee was perfect, and the chilli chutney/relish served with my bacon and eggs was to die for!

A mandatory stop as you drive up or down the Bruce Highway. Don't go past the Carrot Cake web though there some amazing other food. The quirkiness of the cafe makes the dining experience even more appealing.

The drive up the Bruce Highway can be a tough experience, with relatively few places to break your journey and a lot of service station coffee, but this cafe is delightful. The food is great, the staff are friendly and there’s a lovely vibe to the place. This is definitely worth the stop in pretty Childers.

We got the breakfast burritos as we were too early for lunch. They were the best burritos we have ever had! The coffee was very good too. The garden was absolutely beautiful!

Stopped here for coffee because my usual coffee shop was closed, highly recommend, it was excellent! Very pretty Cafe, I'll have to stop for food on my next big drive.

This place was a hidden gem! Came across it and enjoyed a delightful breakfast and had to get some desserts take away to eat later! And they had a whole outside area which dogs can enjoy. I will visit again!

Arrived on a very busy Sunday and joined a long queue. It was worth the wait!
Food was wonderful - nourishing, tasty and nicely presented. Being a glutard who doesn’t eat meat, I was delighted with the options.
Despite the crowds, the woman who took our order was patient, warm & friendly. In fact, every interaction with the staff was wonderful. I had the feeling, the whole team really loved their work.
I felt like I was in a top Sydney cafe.
A great experience all round!

Best atmosphere, I'd go here just for that, breakfast was fast hot and filling. Great coffee. But the place is amazing, It felt like it should be in Brisbane's fancy eat streets.

We are frequent travellers along the Bruce Highway and hadn’t found a place to fuel our hunger until we stumbled on this place.

Hands down the best roadside cafe between Gladstone and Gympie, this is a urban industrial feel fit out, with bits of old machinery and electrical lead wheels turned into tables, without the place feeling cheap. There is an outdoor and indoor seating area making the place quite large.

The food was sensational, not the most affordable, but awesome and generous serving sizes. Great coffee too! Perhaps allow a bit of time for your meals.

I’d highly recommend this place for any kind of dining experience.

What a gem to find, we broke our trip in search of great coffee, something sweet to taste, and somewhere with character. Definatley not disappointed with our visit here, the coffee was fantastic, the Monte Carlo huge, and super tasty, the service 5 star, the setting was unbelievable, so our visit was one of the best experiences ever, highly recommended.

Great place! Absolutely loved my salad with smoked chicken, roasted carrots and caramelised walnuts 😍 Coffee is great and cakes are yummy. I can’t stop eating my ricotta and lemon cake 😋 The interior is unusual and creative which is not common to see in QLD. Even in Brisbane we don’t have many places like this

We didn't have time to stop for food but our take away coffee was brilliant.
We'll schedule our next trip to include breakfast or lunch.

Fantastic looking quirky cafe.
Very nice robust coffee and an amazing salted caramel cake.
Will try to use every time I travel back from Gladstone as there were so many cakes to choose from.
I also managed to add an extra button to my trousers at my table, they think of everything

How is such an amazing space, with delightful style, herb garden, treats and food in CHILDERS??! Great smiling welcomes and a beautiful oasis on our long drive to Cairns. I wish it was MY local cafe!

Dropped in for lunch on way back home from Brissie to Bundy. Quirky and relaxed environment of reclaimed furniture. Varied menu from all day breakfast, to burgers to salads. And for the sweet tooth a cabinet of cakes and sweets.
Great coffee and quick service, will definitely make this a regular stop for future travels.
