Lost Sea Opals

This is THE place to go if you're looking for a lovely piece of jewelry. This is the working studio of jeweler Jo Lindsay, and it's staffed by her, her sister and her brother who is a former Lightning Ridge miner.

Nearly all pieces in the shop are crafted in the studio. Very friendly staff, keen to help you find the piece that's right for you.

Such a great experience visiting Lost Sea Opals. We saw what we loved, but openly said we were looking at other stores as well. No pressure at all. Well, we looked around and came back.
Lesley was looking after us and she was very helpful and informative and in no way pushy. Jo also spoke to us as we made our decision. She was also very helpful when discussing re-sizing.
We purchased two beautiful rings that we will treasure forever.
We returned the next day to collect after resizing and was attended to by another equally helpful and pleasant lady (apologies I did not get your name)

This place is just unreal!! Definitely worth a visit!
It so soo far from just a shop!
We spent over an hour with Brett doing a full tour of the work shop learning about how it all comes together.
The staff are soo friendly and had miles of knowledge/time to spend sharing it with us , even offering to clean up some of our little finds!!!
Have not come across service like this in a retail store anywhere!! They are next level!
Also with absolutely no pressure to buy either!

Truly the most magical, well designed and well curated treasures. Your not getting just any piece of jewellery from Jo. You are getting a work of art with beautiful intention and energy. I highly recommend investing in Jo's designs as they are truly unique and made with passion. Her style and take on the framing of the opal is clean, minimalistic, modern and fresh. You are also getting stones mined from Lightning Ridge. Many stores here are not selling LR opals and many sell very low quality ones. Do your research!! I will definitely invest in another piece in the future. But for now, I am loving my first ever Birthday opal ring (October baby!). Thank you Jo! You are truly a one of a kind artist!

Went there to get out newly found opals for cut and polish. The staff were lovely to deal with and very friendly. They suggested us the best way to shape them and what value this would bring. Highly recommend going to visit this place if looking for opals.

Well presented gem shop run by husband-miner and wife-jeweler. We bought a specimen of Lightning Ridge black opal.

This is such a great store, full of amazing opals. The staff are kind and very helpful and knowledgeable, I would recommend this store if you are going to buy a bit of magic from lightning ridge!
