Lightning Ridge Outback Resort & Caravan Park

We have stayed here 3 times and are booked in for Easter weekend. Friendly and they go out of there way to accommodate people. The hotel is fantastic, so is the pool and restaurant. I wouldn't stay anywhere else. It's walking distance to the shops and we were made very welcomed every time. Love love love it

What a great crew as they made us and our assistant dog feel very welcomed. Bistro was delicious

Lovely overnight stay here. Very friendly and informative reception and beautiful restaurant. We got back to the resort late due to daylight savings time watching the sunset and had just missed the dinner time service. We’d left the restaurant and the owner got one of the young waitresses to chase us down the street, saying come back to the restaurant and then cooked us dinner. “Can’t let you go hungry” she said. Great hospitality, highly recommended. LR is a must see in your outback Australia tours.

Good park. Not to far out of town, good size sites. Have been here a couple of times and will be back

I recently stayed a few nights with my young daughter and the motel was absolutely beautiful!
Hot water, warm bed, clean cabin, tea, coffee, milk and biscuits provided! The aircon also works perfectly!!
The motel has a pub, bottle shop, restaurant and a beautiful clean pool within the grounds.
All the reception staff are lovely and friendly and so are the staff cleaning the rooms.
I advise you to disregard the negative reviews because the motel was wonderful! Lightning ridge is an amazing town, I’m so glad I got to experience it for myself! Would definitely go back some day!

Very clean but amenities need an update. Great staff and outdoor kitchen with large TV screen and fire pit. Good rates and excellent location to walk to lots of eateries.

Nobby's Bistro was a random find whilst in the Ridge for a few days. A casual rustic environment which was clean and well organised. Helpful friendly staff and a good quality meal. Mine included veggies and they were fresh, top marks. Didn't stay in the pub or park so this review is only for the bistro.

Great place and very conveniently situated especially cos the pub and bistro are a 2 minute stroll. A couple of days before we arrived I received an email asking if there was anything the staff could do just let them know. Air con was going in our room on arrival at 4pm and there was a can of fly spray on the bench to help with any critters which there wasn’t.
The bistro is fantastic. I had the ribs and hubby had the mixed grill. We ended up needing a doggy bag as the meals were huge. Would stay here again

A really good Caravan park, with good amenities, and a short drive 🚗 to the Lightning Ridge shopping centre. Make sure to watch the Sunrise 🌅 from the Thermal Pool. Also a great tour is the "Pub in the Scrub" tour. They will pick you up and return you to the park. It's an all day tour and we'll worth it. The "Chamber of the black hand" is also a great local attraction, well worth you time.

Great place to staff. Clean accommodation, friendly staff and great food at the restaurant. Location is great easy walk down the main streets.

Much better than expected. This is the place to stay in Lightning Ridge and the whole Walgett Shire. There's accommodation for everyone, tents, caravans, a motel and cabins. A bistro, BBQ area, pool, bottle shop and pub is onsite with an Ampol petrol station across the road. A few minutes to town and the bowls club and a 5 minute drive to the artesian baths.

Nice outback park. Clean facilities with warm showers. Friendly service. Pub on site for drinks and meals.

We enjoyed our stay here, within walking distance to town. Spacious sites with all mod cons

Where do I begin? Travelling outback I had some concerns about the quality of the accomodation we chose never having been to Lightning Ridge before. Wow, classy motel room that was clean and had all we needed for a 2 day stay. The restraunt served fresh wholesome pub style meals that were as good as any we've tried before, I highly recommend the lamb cutlets which were perfectly crumbed and cooked. The chips hot and fresh and mash to die for. The hero of the dish aside from the cutlets was the pepper gravy, amazing. This place is central to everything in Lightning Ridge the room was clean as stated but also modern and not having clinical white sheets was a treat. If you ever decide to visit Lightning Ridge you won't be disappointed with a stay here especially for the price. Oh did I mention they have a club with pool tables, TAB, pokies, Keno,bar etc etc all a minutes walk from the accomodation in the same complex. Thanks for making this an enjoyable, relaxing holiday.. we will be back!.

Yes, love this park. Large drive through sites, very good amenities, garbage bins every where and the staff are friendly.
And if that is not enough, it is across the road from hot artesian pools.
Did I mention it is quite?

I'm giving this five out of five only because it's what I expected. The miners hotel is just that. A rough and tumble sort of pub. Great beers. Good service. Plenty of local colour to make this pub a beauty

This place has everything you could ever need from a caravan park. There is a lot of room between vans and the facilities are excellent. The showers are great with plenty of hot water and the pub serves ice cold beers and great food. What more could you wish for.
