Bottle House Museum

Fantastic little bit of history in Lighting Ridge. Don’t drive by on looks. Drop in and check it out. Well worth the $10 to have a look

What a little piece of history. The story behind it and the history inside takes you back, (if you are old enough lol). There's a little fossicking patch out the side that we found a couple of little pieces in.

Very interesting place to visit. Step back in time.

If you can visit this place as part of a tour, it would be better.
There was definitely opal fragments in the noodling pile out the side of the building

Loved it , very interesting and heaps of treasures , even found some little bits of colour in tailings heap . Young lady owner was very helpful and friendly

when we went there it was the school holidays and the place was closed. there was for sale signs up so the owner must need it sold. none the less we didnt drive that far to not get some photos and happy snaps with the family and dog. it was clever how they built the house. good reason for a drink. we did not go inside and maybe one day if we were to go back we could go inside? i am not sure. i also saw the wellington bottle house. this house is alot more rustic and looks hand built labor of love for whoever built it. must see if you travel to lightning ridge for sure

Lovely lady showed us through the place. Very interesting. Would go back again as you would see different things all the time. Wow over 5,000 bottles alot of drinking lol. Bus tour with Trevor he was so interesting and has so much knowledge to tell us thankyou.

Arthur is one of the true characters of the outback. This isn't your average museum. It's a step back in time with a live narrative of a lost world. There are so many sureal things about Lightning Ridge, and this is one of the best. After shopping around for jewelry and souvenirs, we also came back here. Best prices in town.

Really quirky little historical place. Would definitely recommend a visit whilst in Lightening Ridge :)

The gentleman who owns the bottle house was a welth of knowledge, pleasent and could answer any questions about Lightning Ridge and beyond, he had some amising things to look at I was free to take as many photos as I wanted and all for $15.00

Very interesting but not sure if the $10 was worth it, don't get me wrong but per person is a little steep for what you get

One of the most interesting places I've been to for antiques and old memorabilia it was really really good

Great little house with lots of curios inside if you go on the black opal tours you can see inside too
