AOC Black Opal Heritage Shed

Truly recommend booking for an eve out under the stars, to see the very well put together film. Learnt much of Lightning Ridge history as well as experiencing, from locals in tge film , of the passion and sense of belonging they are so proud of. The film also shares many facts about the Opals of Lightning Ridge and its unique and beautiful colourings. Much thanks to the passionate volunteers who set up each night to present the film.

Very informative talk through the day with lots of mining equipment on display. At night a fantastic slide show outside under a blanket of stars. Very good.

Great little museum. Lots of fossils, unique opals and other bits and bobs.
The staff are wonderful and efficient.
