The Royal Hotel

The Royal is great to have a drink at, with outstanding employees and management, shout-out to Max for his great service. The drink choices are there, however they do not offer double -or even single- shots, and their selection is of decent size.
However, it is to note that Benalla has had issues with people due to the spirits(specifically shots), so they had to remove them, and as such, I will not hold it against the place.
At the Royal, you will meet some nice and rowdy people!

Great pub, gets busy. So book or go early.. veal snitty was really good. Good staff and efficient.
I will be back...!

Great food and friendly staff!
We stopped by on our way from Melbourne and had a delicious meal, I had the rump steak which was extremely succulent and my wife had the grilled hoki fillets which broke apart so delicately. The staff were really friendly and the food came out in no time. Highly recommended it if you are a local or passing by!

Parking. We arrived after dark and not familiar with the pub, so parked on street and entered via the front door which had a small step so wheelchair users might find tricky. But, as I said, this was the front entry...

Atmosphere was nice and pleasent, a couple of fires for additional warmth in the lounge.

Great pub for an easy feed and beer. The Chicken Parmigiana was great, and the atmosphere was good. Friendly staff and easy service. Also an awesome play area for the kids to enjoy.

Went to the Royal Hotel for a place to hang out and have a beer while a friend got off from work. We had a few drinks and stayed for the pub meal. Awesome choice! The chicken parmesan was amazing and the side of chips hit the spot. Good sized meal and the staff were friendly all night. Will pop back in again on our way through next time too.

We had a meal here, it was good value, quick service in a large dinning room without been noisy.

Staff are brilliant. We were a group who had been at a funeral and they were so understanding. Large indoor and outdoor areas and their meals are huge; one main could feed three adults. Good honest service with a smile !

Great service , lovely meal very friendly towards you, and even include the children.
I ordered the grilled fish with potato in a lovely creamy sauce and veg.
The fish was so moist it melted in.your mouth.

My husband and I both had roast lamb l

with gravy over the meat with roast potatoes, carrots, broccoli, cauliflower with mint sauce. We both enjoyed it 10/10. The service was great.

Wow! Buffet Bar for dinner Saturday night. Special Wild Barramundi Fillets with chips and salad was 1st Class. Top friendly service from bar staff Draught beer fresh. They handle the Covid requirements well. Highly Recommended.
