Had an amazing experience at this store, needed a quick fix to get me back on the road to Melbourne & to say nothing was too much trouble doesn't say enough about the level of service I received from the Bairnsdale crew.

Wow -- what great service and attention to detail --- i have worn glasses for many years now and have had up to 10 renewals or updates over that period of time ----
Robert and his team would have to rank as one of the best in industry knowledge, professionalism and attention to detail

In the past years we have been Specsavers fans, but our experience with the Bairnsdale store has been awful and that is what caused us to look around for another store.
I came across Bairnsdale Optical Centre and when the sale was completed their was a $30.00 difference between the two outlets ---- and for $30.00 extra i got great service, great technical support and the right glasses to suit my needs

if you are new to the area like us or looking for someone that has your interests at heart, has the expertise to supply you with the advice and glasses -- THESE ARE THE GUYS TO SEE!!

Great people great service

Over a year ago, I gave 5 stars, however since the business was sold, I have to change my review. Poor customer service now.

Terrible customer service. My eye test happened quite quickly but I was then left to sit for nearly an hour without being told or knowing what was going on. People were queued up and sitting around wondering what was happening. I went back a few days later and it was just as bad - the man working there (he was the only person working there at the time) completely ignored me and did not acknowledge me in anyway whatsoever. It was the second time he'd done the exact same thing. Not good enough and downright rude and unacceptable. Hopeless.

Accompanied an elderly friend to this business No way would I let him go back there. Prescribed glasses he did not need as he had macular degeneration and the glasses presecribed made no further improvement on the glasses he already had from a previoius visit.

Googled macular degeneration:
If I have lost some vision, will stronger glasses help instead of having treatment? If a vein occlusion affects the back of your eye and is left untreated it cannot be simply improved by a stronger pair of glasses.12 Mar 2020

I have used this service for over 15 years. At my last eye check, I asked for the script as I wanted to buy glasses online. The attitude changed dramatically. The "processor" was rude and arrogant. I received a letter stating that I was not welcome back in the store. Guess what - I wasn't coming back. There are many other optometrist's that offer the same service in the town.

My husband was given no care or service when an emergency arose, detached retina. A little more care needed and information would have been expected after 13 years as a client. When asked for my records to be forwarded to anothet optometrist, after 1 month I was told they were very busy. The care shown to patients needes revising. Very unsatisfied with their organization.

When trying to make an appointment today. I was told that because my husband hadn't been for 4 years, he doesnt take priority to get an appointment and proceeded to tell me to make an appointment elsewhere. Terrible customer service!!
