Mr D Food and Coffee

A MUST VISIT PLACE.

Mr. D has been a must-visit cafe for me whenever I travel to Bairnsdale. The quality of food and service makes all of the first visitors to become a must-visit. I'm a huge fan of their barista. I have tried brekky and lunch. The amount you spend will always be worth it. They serve only fresh and quality products with no compromise in standards. You will experience a little rush during the peak hours, however, there is dining available both indoors and outdoors. They have freshly baked cakes and I tried Carrot cake and Almond-Orange cake. The staff are really helpful and charming with a smile.
You can dine with your pets at the outdoor tables.
Street parking is available.

This Place is great. This is coming from a professional Hospitality individual. Any public eatery with clean washroom shows that their hygiene standard is high. Therefore the FOOD has to be good. . "Clean washroom great food. Dirty washroom Bad food.".It was great Georgina deserves the waitress of the month service impeccable . We ordered Chicken Bagel & Hawaiian Pizza. Pizza was serious & very well done pastry 10/10. The Bagel Burger was very tasty with mashed avocado. Coffee was right temp @ 62'..Will be back again need a branch in Melbourne..

Wonderful cafe - modern with a lively atmosphere. All day eatery with friendly service.
Coffee is excellent- they use Zest beans. Best coffee I had in the area.
Food is great - the corn & polenta fritters were lovely but definitely needs some bacon with it.

Pleasant atmosphere with friendly staff, the staff took the time to talk to the little ones and take their orders just like the adults at the table. Great coffee and plenty of options on the breakfast menu. They were very busy the Sunday morning we were there so breakfast took a little while but was fresh and hot when served.

Food was great. Price not too bad. Lovely place to stop. Def recommend. I had the big breakfast & it was exacad it should be, great quality, not oily. I'd eat here again 100%

The best part of our meal was the chef made us an off menu garden salad to go with our grain salad which wasnt very leafy. Also the salmon is not fillet salmon. A garden salad as a side really should be on the menu or even veggies. Would benefit from lighter sides. I hope menu gets refresh but 5 stars because the chef went above and beyond and the salad and dressing was a highlight. Cheese spring rolls are delicious and huge. Friendly staff. Recommend!

A fabulous little eatery. The food was delightful. Spiced chicken pita, prawn taco and herbed chicken salad. Faultless. Service amazing & friendly staff.

Delicious and healthy food - just had to try the Golden Gaytime Martini. The service was really nice, and the vibe indoors is very relaxing - shielded from the noise outside with quiet music and plenty of greenery. The takeaway window looked like a nice add on and I will certainly come back here for a coffee when passing through again.

Had a delicious breakfast at this stylish cafe. Meal was a Japanese pancake with crispy pork belly, perfect cooked bacon and poached egg. Highly recommend.

When travelling, it is hard to know where to eat but MR. D are the place for a coffee and we had breakfast which was amazing. It was fresh, fast and the waiting service was just amazing! They couldn’t have done anymore to ensure we had a great experience. Great location, well done and compliments to the chef!

Nice country style cafe. Coffee is very good and toasties with sourdough very tasty and crunchy. Consistently good. Good selection of rich sweet snacks. Brown rice salad with grilled chicken was superb. Chili scrambled croissants was also so tasty and super filling. They're Lime chicken burger was a bit disappointing.
Overall a great place with friendly staff.

Great breakfast and stunning coffee in the mornings.
Love their pastas and steaks for dinner and they are never crowded.
We always finish our evenings witha delicious coffee and cheese cake from @Mr D's in Bairnsdale.

Food and Atmosphere, Service was off the chart. Amazing hospitality and will now be my regular as I pass through Bairnsdale.

Wonderful food, coffee and very welcoming staff. Nothing was too much trouble. If I could rate more stars, I would. Gluten free options are fantastic. Wonderful spin on food. Such pride consideration goes into everything the staff do.

Great cafe. After a long drive on the Princess Hwy stopping at Mr D Food and Coffee was a great experience. Great coffee and genuinely delicious food. Well priced. Staff friendly. And great atmosphere. Thank you for your hospitality.

I was there in July 2021. Spectacular french toast breakfast dish. Every bit as tasty as it looks. I hope it stays on the menu Impressive coffee and hot chocolate. Perfection on a plate.

Great food and coffee. We enjoyed the sticky date French toast and the fried chicken waffle sandwich.

Best breakfast in town. Double cheese scrambled was the best one we ever had, loved it. Bacon was crispy and fresh.
Coffee was so fresh and amazing. Definitely would stop by again.

Brilliant service and the breakfast I ordered - avocado toast was better than last time.
